Black Torch Ep.11 - Wait, Hana was packing all that?! Final battle already?

Episode 11 of Black Torch sets everything up for the final clash between Jirou and Amagi, but it honestly leaves me perplexed as well, because it means we won't get a meaningful resolution for Ichika and Reiji's storylines. Is it just me, or does this feel rushed to the max to reach the ending?

I know that the manga is complete at five volumes, but I wonder if it was axed due to poor sales and this was the result the author had to settle for, instead of being able to flesh out the stories of the other two protagonists alongside Jirou in more detail.

People were hot back then aren't they? Like girl, she's a model or something? Obviously she survived didn't she? *looks away*

Now I have to say it, I wasn't expecting her to pack all that. There you go Hana, you're good to go! You're useful I promise it!

For Reiji, at least his brother is there and they've had a few clashes here and there, but Ichika's situation with her mother and the mononoke that turned her to stone are completely ignored, and we don't have even a clue about who it might be. There has been literally nothing across 11 episodes, which is sort of problematic.

As I said, this episode was mostly focused on setting the stage, which means flashback time for Amagi. Why did he become like this? Well, it turns out he was a gentle god protecting a village until he was no longer able to. Then, instead of arming themselves, the villagers decided that powering him up by feeding him the very first woman he saved was a good idea.

We don't know what happened after that: did he accept the offer, or did he murder everyone in the village instead? I'm genuinely curious to see more of it, because it would fit his character better if that was the defining moment that caused him to switch sides altogether.

Jirou doesn't seem to be faring that well against him in the initial phases, but that's expected because Amagi's defeat must come only after Jirou and Ragou are back together; they're the main duo of the series, after all. The issue is what comes after that in the grand scheme of things.

They act like a squad, but there was way too little development for them to have developed any sort of bond...

The transformation even, clearly final boss material. The issue is about what happens afterward...

Do they just kill Amagi (maybe with a few more flashbacks) and move on, leaving an open-ended "their fight is not over yet" conclusion? That would be the most boring approach, but I can't see the story doing anything else considering there's only one episode left before the end of the series.
