Fate/Strange Fake Ep.09 - Jack's noble phantasm. Now who's going stop that?
Episode 9 of Fate/Strange Fake delivers the much-anticipated battle between multiple parties that was set up in the previous episode. The story shows various groups converging on the hospital where Tsubaki Kuruoka is currently being treated. While it set the stage for a battle royale between multiple Servants, the episode ultimately featured two one-on-one matches: Jack the Ripper versus Alcides, and Richard against Gilgamesh.
Jack’s fighting style was incredible and managed to put a dent in Alcides, but it seemed to be for naught as there was no visible effect on his body whatsoever. He tanked the Noble Phantasm "Natural Born Killers" (see the attached video) as if nothing had happened. What will it actually take to injure him?

Ultimately, Alcides absorbed Jack’s Noble Phantasm, but now I am confused. Does he possess two Noble Phantasms permanently now, or is this just a one-time boost? It would be far too absurd if he could simply absorb Noble Phantasms at will and keep them forever. What happens if he absorbs Ea from Gilgamesh? Would he start shooting beams everywhere?
I am also curious about the connection between this Jack and the version from Fate/Grand Order. I remember the FGO version being the personification of unborn children, but this version seems more like a personification of the mystery surrounding Jack’s identity. Either way, both are fakes, which fits the theme of the series perfectly.
The fight between Gilgamesh and Richard was somewhat of a side show, but Richard is beginning to catch Gilgamesh’s interest. Learning that Enkidu allied with Richard was enough to make Gilgamesh bring out his more serious arsenal. Richard seems like a good match for him, however, as he can take weapons from Gilgamesh’s arsenal and turn them into "Excalibur". If he could do that with a twig, what would happen if he used one of Gilgamesh’s legendary weapons?
While all this was happening, one particular line from Fake Assassin caught my attention. She said that to fight against these Servants, she would have to use her full power. Does this mean she thinks she actually has a chance against Gilgamesh or Alcides? I do not recall her being particularly strong in the few encounters we have seen so far, but that could simply be a matter of her not being serious until now.

In the next episode, someone will have to intervene to stop Alcides from killing Tsubaki. We know for certain it is too early for her to die, especially since we have not even seen her Servant, Fake Rider, in action yet. But who will be able to stop Alcides in his tracks?
