Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Ep.07 - Their master plan was this?!

Episode 7 of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS: Gun Blaze Vengeance goes for the isolation route when it comes to development, with them delivering a pretty cliché development on how to make Towa an easy target to capture. It's not really very believable, but I guess it works...

Eiji's plan is to make her an enemy of society so that she can't rely on anyone and to force her to attack their base to capture her. The developments are so standard that I can already predict everything that'll happen in the next few episodes. Let's see if my predictions hold up.

They keep increasing the number of crimes that Mana did to the point that I will be sorely disappointed if they don't end it with a satisfying death for her.

That was not nice punching the train with her still inside, thankfully Shiina is quite resilient. Like really resilient considering the level of the explosion.

First of all, there'll be a breakout (started at the end of the episode) between Shiina and Towa, causing the latter to disappear from her sight. Then Towa will decide to rush and kill Mana alone so as not to put her friends at risk of getting captured in the process by Mana. The friends will ask for help, and Shiina will lead the rescue mission.

The rescue mission succeeds, and Mana is killed by Towa in battle, clearing her trauma, but not completely solving the issue as humans will keep searching for the drug to become "immortal." Eiji will die in the mission as well, probably with some sappy scene between him and Mana to show their bond as they fade away. Then comes a scene with Shiina and Towa going out together again in their normal life for the yuri bait, and that'll be it.

Towa is quite strong, but the real important part here is showing her pain at knowing that even that monster was once a kid like her in the hands of Mana. View video page

I'll be surprised if they deviate in a big way from this, but I guess it'll be a fun thing to try and match my predictions with what happens week by week. I like the series as a whole, but sometimes it makes you wonder if it was designed in a cold meeting room by some bigwigs...

Nanoha and Fate's presence in the episode was more substantial, but they still feel there just to give the name to the series and nothing more than that. Hey, at least it's better than Hayate, who is currently taking the role of the incompetent leader that can barely give coherent orders to his subordinates.

Niina Aoi throwing a granade just because. You know sometimes you feel the need to rebel against the world right?

Towa with the spider communicator, honestly it feels useful, but creepy at the same time to have this spider on you at all times...

Next episode is titled "Yorumi Towa Descent" and will show how Towa is going to get isolated and forced to act against Mana, probably ending with her getting captured. I hope the angst between Shiina and Towa isn't protracted, because I really hate that kind of development...
