Episode 11 of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS: Gun Blaze Vengeance delivers another incredible episode, highlighting the fight between Shiina and Mana while revealing details about the origins of this entire invasion and why Shiina's power is so special compared to others.

Apparently, when the aliens first fell to Earth, two special "individuals" of their race infiltrated the world: one inside Shinomiya Mana's body and another in Kuze Setsuna's body. Unlike the other mindless monsters, they possessed reason and had completely different objectives and ways of living.

The crazy faces that Mana pulls out from time to time are downright amazing. I keep making screenshots of her way more than the heroines.

Two kids fighting. Result? A disaster in the entire city. Come on girls, find a different way of settling business. Card game?

Mana wanted to get stronger at any cost to prevent herself from being killed. That was her reason for existing and why she kept experimenting; she wanted to become strong enough that nobody could possibly endanger her, whereas Setsuna favored coexisting with humans.

Naturally, their clash and the resulting fallout left both Mana and Setsuna barely clinging to life. Setsuna was taken in by Shiina, while Mana was found by Eiji after spending a long period alone feeding on humans and monsters alike. Apparently, their powers are opposites as well: Shiina absorbs, while Mana accumulates.

Yes, she didn't say it, but that was clearly Nanoha's signature Starlight Breaker! I was expecting her to pull it out! View video page

The battle concludes with Shiina's victory, but Mana isn't exactly dead yet, as shown right near the end. She's definitely in no state to fight, but will Shiina allow Towa to get her revenge? Shiina feels like the type of girl who sticks to the rules and would prefer to arrest Mana...

The next episode is titled "The Flame Connecting Me to You," which serves as the final episode of the series. The preview voiceover clearly features Towa and Shiina talking to each other, probably in a relaxed setting after the crisis has passed, but we hear nothing from the other characters.

The sad part of this is that the original Mana was lost that day, could've had a normal life instead of becoming THAT.

Finally Hayate being useful? What's this, a dream? She's able to even do her job? Clearly I'm dreaming. Eiji what will you do now?

What will happen to Eiji? What about Mana? Both are beyond saving given the things they did, but considering that Eiji was just arrested, it's going to be hard for him to die in some tragic scene alongside Mana. Are they really just going to put him in jail? Wouldn't Mana try to escape if she's left alive?
