Megami no Cafe Terrace Vol 18,19 - Kikka strikes again! Feels like we're nearing the end
Volumes 18 and 19 of Megami no Café Terrace continue from where we left off, with Kikka about to become more assertive toward Hayato in a romantic sense. As expected, it turned out to be just a way to trigger Ouka to become more serious in her approach. She was the only one still kind of on the fence, and this was the last push needed to finally make her move properly in the romantic race.
There were multiple small stories further developing the career choices of the various heroines, such as Ouka meeting her favorite designer (and having kind of a fight with her) or Riho going through trouble trying to figure out what she wants to do with her acting career. Nothing really changes the status quo much, but it gives that extra bit of weight to the heroines' current status.

Riho's parents' issue is also now completely resolved, as the family is back together and seemingly happy. It sort of feels like the author is trying to tie up all the loose ends with each heroine's story before tackling the main issue that has seemingly disappeared from the manga, which is the Fuwa family's involvement with the fire that destroyed the café in the past.
It hasn't appeared even as a small scene in the last few volumes, to the point that I nearly forgot it was a thing in the first place. Surely they will dedicate at least a volume to clear it up and give some peace to all the characters involved in that story (especially considering the parallels with the current café situation), right?

The "we are getting near the end" feeling is made even stronger by the marriage of Emi (Ami's foster sister). All the girls were invited, and the mood kind of showed how they viewed the event and thought, "Oh, this might be me in a few years". They all agreed to invite each other regardless of who wins the romantic race. I guess it is a must for the family to stay together even after such a drastic change.
I really don't know at this point who has the lead to become Hayato's girlfriend because they all seem to have gone through the same level of progress with him, and he is quite tight-lipped about the whole thing. I am still cheering for my favorite heroine, Akane, but it could really be anyone at this point. Except Ami, maybe. I would be surprised if he actually chose Ami because she often feels and acts like a joke character.

The 20th volume concludes with a classic trip to a ryokan for the entire group after Ami wins six tickets at a local raffle. We get plenty of cute and ecchi scenes, like Hayato getting invited (and actually joining!) the "family bath" with all the girls (both main and side heroines) together. Everyone looked great!
At the same time, both Hayato and the heroines start reflecting that it is about time to bring things to a close and make the final decision clear. I am not sure who will make their move first, but there are only three volumes remaining in the story according to what I saw online, so we are definitely about to get some resolution.

I look forward to reading the remaining volumes soon, and I'll make a final post about it in the coming weeks!
