Psycho Pass S3 Ep.02 - Karina is definitely suspicious. Free Akane!
Episode 2 of Psycho-Pass Season 3 finally revealed exactly what happened to the other characters from the story who weren't visible or were barely hinted at previously. It seems confirmed that Akane is in some sort of isolation for a crime she committed in public.
We don't know the state of her Hue, but considering her lines, it is very possible that she is still clear. She says that once she is judged for her actions, the entire world will know the truth of the Sibyl System. I am honestly confused as to why this would be the case. Is there a connection between what she did and Sibyl again?

It turns out Kougami joined forces with the military and became a special investigator working on Frederica's team alongside Ginoza. Basically, they rebuilt their old team in a new location. They seem to be focused on criminals who are outside the city territory. It is sort of a "police force for those who can't be judged otherwise," like the man in this episode.
The crime itself was pretty white-collar, with the whole subprime crisis used to explain the mechanics. Nothing really stood out, even though he was connected to the Bifrost group, which seems to be this season's real villains or the target for the Bureau.
Once that was settled, the anime moved to the next story arc, which seems to revolve around two independent candidates for the upcoming election. One is Kousuke "Heracles" Yakushiji, an exuberant old man openly talking about how superior he is. He is the typical crazy guy who believes he can rule simply because he is "better."
The other is a former idol and singer, Karina Komiya, who is seemingly always surrounded by mysterious disappearances and deaths. She went solo right after all the other girls in her singing group became "latent criminals," and now her former mental care psychologist has ended up dying by "suicide."

It is too early to say much, but as the new protagonist Arata Shindo pointed out, if she is a criminal, she is likely to be tough to crack. She seems to always have a clear Hue despite all these events happening around her. How the team will approach the case this time around remains to be seen.
I can't wait to know more about what happened to Akane, and I look forward to watching the next episode in the coming weeks.
