Scenes depending on the dungeon routes?!

Tenbin no la Dea

Ok, this surprised me. I just played two hours of the game so far and I reached the first dungeon trying to save some civilians getting kidnapped by bandits, you know it's the typical initial tutorial quest and I was ready for an easy wade through it in a few minutes, but something weird happened. A character (Alicia) always got the bad end after a few battles against the bandits and I wondered, is this a scripted scene or there's a way to save her?

Turns out there is a way to save her, at the beginning when you first encounter bandits, your ally suggests that there are two possible way to approach this, either break through or search another way. That's your key, I thought it was flavor, but it's literally that. You must NOT engage them, the moment you engage even a single group of scripted battle, the bad end is guaranteed, you need to go back and face the hole at the center of the previous room and that'll allow you to skip them and reach the bandit leader before the bad end can manifest saving Alicia.

With this experience (and half an hour spent trying to understand it) I decided to open a wiki just to have an idea where other of these traps could reside. Not that I hate having different events based on choices, but I would've easily missed this one as I'm used to charge through enemies without thinking too much!

Oh and, as you can see from the attached screenshot, Haishera is present in this game too which is a great thing. At least one "old face" standing with us right from the beginning. Curious to see who else appear...

So Haishera is in this game too working as the "voice" of Celika, honestly missed hearing her voice. She's way too iconic in this series.
