Genshin Impact Luna VII - Dottore's death. So that's his backstory...
Patch Luna VII of Genshin Impact was released today, and I had to play it all in one go to see how they would end the Nod Krai storyline. Honestly, I wasn't super impressed; despite the scale being grand as always, it felt way less emotionally intensive compared to the peaks I felt with the Fontaine finale. I was watching the burning of the world tree and just didn't feel anything.
This patch's story could be considered more of a Collei side story, with the conclusion of her arc and some Dottore backstory sprinkled on top. Be aware that I enjoyed both, but I couldn't stand all the "yapping" that happened before with the minor characters from Sumeru. I didn't like them back then, and it seems like nothing has changed over time.

Dottore is seemingly dead for good this time, with the original Dottore having died long ago before the story started, leaving these to be purely his segments. Ironically, despite searching for immortality for so long, he never managed to achieve it for himself, but only for his segments.
People speculate that there may be some hidden segment somewhere, but honestly, there were no hints dropped in the story, unlike what they did with Sandrone, who will be back in the next patch as a playable character (and is my most anticipated character of this patch series altogether).

I wouldn't mind him being playable, but it would have to be a pristine segment without his evil acts to be able to join after what he did to the people. But would that even be Dottore at that point? Is it worth pulling him just to wipe his slate clean? That’s a question for his fans, I guess.
I quite liked how Wanderer turned out in this patch; it's incredible how much he has changed since we first met him in Inazuma. His story is also now complete, as he got his revenge on Dottore. His interactions with Nahida are great—they feel like a grandmother and a small child, which is hilarious considering their actual appearances.

Next patch, as I mentioned earlier, will be the one where we see the new design of Sandrone in action. I already saw it in... your usual places, and it's downright stunning. They improved the quality of the model, and she is the "golden standard" when it comes to rendering quality, plus she got a miniskirt outfit that fits her very well. I'm a bit sad we don't get to see Pulonia in battle, but eh...
