Genshin Impact Luna IV Story - Sandrone was the MVP. That clearly is suggesting that she...

I could not wait and completed the entire Luna IV story immediately after its release. I can confidently say it was the best patch story Genshin Impact has released so far in terms of production values. It featured great action scenes, emotional moments, and even a few extremely well-designed CGs at the end for some of the characters.

The story continues from where we left off last patch, with Dottore now possessing the power of the three moons and plotting to take over the world as a new God. Everyone else, including Sandrone and Arlecchino, is scrambling to find a way to stop him, leading them to infiltrate the Fatui base.

The infiltration goes well, but Dottore is simply too powerful for anyone to handle. They are defeated and escape, leaving Lumine behind. She begins to get "seduced" by Dottore, who tries to convince her to join him by promising to help reunite her with her brother. Of course, this does not work, and eventually, Wanderer sneaks in and frees Lumine.

At the same time, Columbina is moving backward through time and trying to leave hints to allow her friends to help her return. The plan works, and Sandrone manages to devise a formula that, aided by Wanderer's core computational capacity, will bring Columbina back.

Dottore decides to make his move and attack the base. One by one, the allies are defeated, and even Sandrone is killed by Dottore. However, she hid the formula inside Pulonia, giving everyone enough time to bring the moon down and summon Columbina for the final battle, in which they eliminate Dottore for good.

The entire patch felt like an ode to Sandrone, as she really took control of the story with her thoughts and research. We even had a small segment where we controlled Pulonia to help her find the hints needed to bring Columbina back. It was basically a "redemption arc" for her.

She "dies," but as you may know from the many leaks, she is going to return as a playable character in Patch 6.7 in a chapter dedicated to Fontaine, featuring a new body and design. I am not sure if her memories will remain intact, but I certainly hope so. It is clear that she had prepared for this, considering the lines she entrusted to Arlecchino (you can see them in the screenshots I attached to this post).

Sandrone x Columbina is my favorite pairing in the game, so I really cannot wait to see more of them together, even if waiting for more than five months is going to be harsh. Hopefully, the content in the upcoming patches will be good enough to keep me occupied until then.

By the way, Alice really fit the "Potential Woman" role. She is supposedly so powerful and yet so absent from the story. Yeah, yeah, she was protecting the border with the other witches or whatever. It does not really change much from the player's point of view, though. She is basically a background character, and removing her from the story would not have changed a single thing in Nod Krai or elsewhere.

We also got some new information about Lumine's past. It seems like both siblings came to Teyvat in their spaceship in the past for a quick pass-through. That could have been the moment the two siblings were separated, leaving Lumine to travel for thousands of years while Aether was stuck within the world without his memories.

Apparently Aether knows and avoids the moonlight to not get detected?

This is interesting, and I wonder how it fits with the Snezhnaya storyline and the Tsaritsa, assuming it is related in any way. The other possibility is that we will only get breadcrumbs in Snezhnaya and everything else will be delayed until the Celestia arc, which would happen the year after.

Either way, Genshin Impact is slowly approaching the climax of the main story, and I am curious about the steps forward once the Teyvat arc is complete in two or three years. Technically, the world is pretty huge, and the continent that Lumine is exploring is only a small part of it (as seen from the moon).

Curious to know more about Nicole too. Apparently she's playable in a few patches too...

Now, the waiting game is back on. From what I understand, the next patch will bring Varka as a playable character. Hopefully, he will have a good story to go along with his release, even if it is hard to top what I witnessed today.
