Jahy-sama ha Kujikenai Vol 8,9 - Wait, that was her sister all along? Jahy jealous!
I just finished reading volumes 8 and 9 of Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! (ジャヒー様はくじけない!), which actually revealed one of the most important parts of the plot. Remember how the whole story started with the Demon Lord being destroyed by a Magical Girl (Kyouko Jingu), causing Jahy's fall from grace?
The girl is now an ally and is actually pretty cozy with the reformed Demon Lord (who is now a little girl), but the question that remained was, "Who actually made her a Magical Girl and why?" We discover the answer when Chisa is turned into one by this mysterious entity. However, instead of following her orders, she simply starts scolding her.

It turns out it was the Demon Lord's younger sister (who looks exactly the same as her, just with a white color palette) named Justice who created the Magical Girl. Initially, it was just a way to try and bother her sister to make her come back home after she left to build her realm. However, she was not expecting the Magical Girl to be this strong, causing the Demon Lord to actually get killed.
It is kind of depressing for Jahy that much of her suffering was caused by a simple sibling fight. To add further pain, Justice likes Chisa a lot and has started staying around her at all times (except when sleeping, as Chisa moves a lot in her sleep), causing Jahy to feel jealousy as well. She kind of finally understands Ryou's feelings from back when she appeared and stole Chisa's attention.
Jahy's adult form is so damn pretty!Jahy also finally revealed the truth to Druj about her stay on Earth, including all the problems she faced to get a stable life and the fact that she was not the perfect demon Druj imagined. Her pride had made her withhold this information, and the two had a good talk to repair their bond, which is now stronger than ever. I was honestly surprised Druj did not spot the various damning hints, but I guess love can be blind.
For the rest, it was the usual fun scenes between the characters, with some attention given to Jahy's childhood friend Kokoro as well. Kyouko loves having friends, so she pesters them often to play board or card games together, and even Saurva joined some of these scenes.

At the end of the volume, we also got a bombshell: the Demon Lord is now able to speak again after absorbing all the materials that were gathered by Druj over the months on Earth. She says that the materials are not enough to rebuild her kingdom, but being able to speak will definitely help in understanding what she is thinking.
I am not sure that Jahy really wants to go back to the Demon Realm after it is rebuilt, though, as she is pretty attached to the humans she met along the way. I guess she can move back and forth when needed if there is a portal of some kind? Most of the demons have already started new lives anyway.

I am looking forward to reading the next volumes. I am curious to see where they are going to take the story. Most of the relevant plot points are basically resolved, so what is the endgame here?
