Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi Ep.01 - I forgot how choroi Kanan was at the beginning...

As you may know from my other posts on the series, I'm a reader of Kanan-sama ha Akumade Choroi and a huge fan of the franchise. I simply couldn't not watch the series in real time as it was airing, but I was not sure if I wanted to cover it on the blog, as I would already know the developments.

But in the end, I thought, you know what? I want to share more screenshots and thoughts about Kanan and Jeanne's cuteness, so here we are with Episode 01 of Kanan-sama ha Akumade Choroi, which sets up the expectations for the series by introducing the main two characters, Kanan Takakiyo and Kyougi Youji.

Onsen looks good, so when are we getting this scene fully animated? Come on, we know we are getting one!

Kanan is a demoness, the daughter of Beelzebub, who focuses on the sin of gluttony. Just like her father, she also wants to eat something delicious and decides to go for a human soul as a snack, infiltrating a human school. She sets her eyes on the normal student Youji, who seems to have a brighter soul.

Little does she know that Youji would fall in love with her and misunderstand her "eating" in sexual terms, getting ready for his first time with her. Kanan has hundreds of years of age, but she is completely inexperienced when it comes to love, and therefore she has no defense against Youji's direct words.

Of course, Youji realizes she's embarrassed and settles for a "shall we start by becoming a couple?" Kanan, being the choroi heroine as per the title, accepts, starting the series and the romantic relationship between the two. From here, the series becomes a continuous flow of comedy, ecchi scenes, and sexual innuendos as Kanan tries to understand her feelings for Youji.

The first episode was solid for me; the animation was smooth, Kanan looked devilishly cute, and her seiyuu, Koga Aoi, did an amazing job portraying the gap between her devil persona and the choroi little girl within her. You can hear the anticipation and conflicting feelings within her during her interactions with Youji.

Kanan cute side has strong appeal it's hard to deny it. Even in anime form she's still incredible.

Of course, this is just the beginning. Now we need to see how they handle the introduction of the other recurring heroines of the story. They briefly showed Masurao Nadeshiko, but there are many more coming, like the maid Ami and Jeanne. I'm looking forward to seeing what they'll deliver next week, as I barely remember what happened so many volumes ago.
