Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama Ep.01 - Lilithea looks so good!
Episode 1 of Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama (Killed Again, Mr. Detective) starts the series with some basic setting introductions, showing us the characters who will be the focus of this mystery story centered around Sakuya Otsuki, the son of a legendary detective.
It seems like most of the gimmick revolves around the fact that Sakuya gets killed often but, due to a particular physical condition, he cannot actually die and revives. This allows him to uncover crimes that would otherwise be impossible for a normal human to solve. The title itself is the line that the main heroine and assistant, Lilithea, tells him whenever he revives: "You got killed again, Mr. Detective."

The first task they investigate involves infiltrating a luxury cruise ship, where they find another heroine, Haigamine Yuriu, who seems very interested in him, to the point that she wants to become his disciple. I don't want to sound weird, but her being so pushy about trying to get close to him makes me wonder what her real intentions are.
So far, we have only seen a bubbly and ultra-cute personality, but this is a mystery series, so there has to be something more than just that if they introduced her right at the "crime scene". We also haven't been given enough detail about the relationship between Lilithea and the protagonist yet.
At first, I thought they might have been classmates, but she immediately shoots that down when she starts guessing what he did at school while she was in the office. That scene was actually quite good, with her deducing that he interacted with the school nurse just by piecing together details about him.
Considering this gimmick, which places the series in a supernatural setting, I assume the enemies we face won't be normal criminals, but someone who can actually put up a fight against his immortality. I have no idea what kind of skills we are talking about, though. Of course, we don't know yet, so let's see how the story develops next week.

The episode ends with Sakuya being killed by a clown on the cruise ship after discovering the murder, and waking up to Lilithea holding him on her lap (see attached video). The clown stole the phone that could have been used as proof to gather data, so I am curious about how they are going to find the culprit.
I'm definitely going to keep watching this weekly and post about it. By the way, this story is based on a light novel of the same name written by Teniwoha and illustrated by Riichu, which started in 2021, currently has 6 volumes, and is still ongoing. The art of the original light novel is by the same artist as *Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon*, and it is honestly incredible.
