Mirai Radio to Jinkou-bato - Asami route done. Finally the truth surfaces!December 15, 2025 · 7:28 PM

Today I completed Asami's route in the Mirai Radio to Jinkou-bato visual novel that I last covered here. The bombshell revelations finally appeared and they pretty much cleared up the mystery behind the pigeons. Now all that remains is finding a solution that allows everyone to be happy. Well, that is my hope at least...

The route immediately introduces us to the mainframe used during the development of the pigeons. This contains some code that was originally uploaded to the pigeons and various other encrypted data. This is a treasure trove for Sora and Asami as they investigate, trying to find ways to stop the pigeons or at least understand why they are still working despite Kaguya dying.

We get some explanation about Asami's past and how she was recruited by Kaguya's mother (Hazuki Izana) after managing to hack into the pigeon network. Asami grew to love Izana more and more as they worked together, and the trauma of losing her still haunts her to this day.

After various investigations, Sora manages to get confirmation of something he was suspecting. Turns out, as I predicted in the previous posts, he is directly linked to the pigeons just like Kaguya. Both are being helped by the pigeon network to survive after the disastrous incident that caused him to nearly die (as seen in the flashback with his mother protecting him).

His adoptive mother (Mizuki's mother) knew about most of the situation as she was the one entrusting Sora to Izana. She didn't know the specific details (like the whole pigeon mechanism), but she didn't care as long as her loved ones were fine, which is totally understandable.

Ohhh, child Asami was so adorable and cute! Ohhh, child Asami was so adorable and cute!

The fact is that until Sora dies, the pigeons won't stop working. This explains why nothing happened when Kaguya died earlier. I can't even begin to imagine the feelings Sora must have in this situation, faced with the reality that he is being kept alive by the very pigeons he hated so much.

The route ends with Asami living with Sora as lovers, delaying the end of the pigeons' life to something far in the future after they die naturally. They also talk a bit about what could have saved Kaguya from death (just like the future radio program hinted at), and I guess those are clues for the remaining parts of the visual novel.

Happy end for them! Happy end for them!

There are still two routes to go through. While I can see Kaguya's route ending fine with both surviving via the pigeons' support, what about the True Route that happens afterward? The only two possible ways I can see this ending are either the pigeons being reprogrammed not to "devour waves" while still sustaining the two, or... killing the pigeons off while delegating the life-support functions to something else.

The issue is, nobody has the level of expertise to pull this off without Izana's technology. Let's see if Kaguya's route gives us more hints to work with...
