Mirai Radio to Jinkou-bato - Mizuki route done. So many questions!Nov 30, 2025, 7:59:09 PM

I just finished Mizuki’s route (the first route in story order) in Mirai Radio to Jinkou-bato, and I wanted to talk about the current state of the story because I have a lot of questions. Instead of answering anything, the game keeps piling on more mysteries. This article contains spoilers, so check the previous post if you need more context.

We left off with the protagonist getting closer to Kaguya, who is slowly becoming part of the main cast. She is the daughter of the creator of the artificial pigeons, which makes her feared and hated by most of society. Because of this connection, she has spent most of her life isolated in Terminal 1 after the original incident.

Chankon-kun goods!

Meanwhile, the protagonist and the rest of the group continue using their radio broadcasts in an attempt to destroy the pigeons and clear the sky. This directly opposes Kaguya’s own goal, since she insists she has her own method of stopping the pigeons, although she refuses to reveal it at first.

When confronted, Kaguya finally explains that her death is the trigger that would deactivate all pigeons. Her mother created them to prolong Kaguya’s life by acting as an external support system for her brain. This also explains why Kaguya’s eyesight and overall physical condition are steadily worsening. She believes her own death is acceptable because, in her mind, she should have died long ago.

Beautiful
Taking her home!

There is a touching moment where she kisses the protagonist, but it is cut short as she heads back to Terminal 1 to fulfill what she believes is her destiny when the long-predicted impact arrives. The protagonist is unable to stop her and Kaguya seemingly dies in his place, matching the prediction from the mysterious future radio transmissions.

And then… nothing happens.

The pigeons remain active.
The radio stops working entirely.
The supposed future prediction fails for the first time.
The protagonist is left in shock, losing both partial memory of the event and even the ability to speak.

Sleepy...
Kiss!

The remainder of Mizuki’s route focuses on her helping him recover. She stays at his side, supports him and eventually succeeds in pulling him out of his trauma. They become a couple, and since Mizuki is my favorite character so far, I absolutely loved these scenes. But even while enjoying them, the huge unresolved questions kept lingering in the back of my mind.

Why were the pigeons not disabled?
Was Kaguya misinformed?
Why does she act like she knew the protagonist long before they ever met?
And perhaps the biggest question: where are the future radio transmissions coming from? They were wrong this time, since the protagonist did not die at Terminal 1.

My current suspicion is that the protagonist himself is the true trigger for the pigeons. But if that is the case, why? And how would he be connected to Kaguya’s mother if he seemingly had no prior involvement? Something very important is still missing from the larger picture.

Unrelated, but give a look at the adorable scene in the above video, Mizuki's dedication to Chankon-kun is amazing and hilarious at the same time. Probably the highlight of any scene with her because her voice when imitating it is just too cute.

...and more kiss!
Despair

Well, time to restart from the beginning and pursue the next route (Akina) and hopefully uncover more clues about the overarching mystery. I am really curious to see where the story goes next.
