Pieces Wataridori no Somnium - Alice was so hyper! Tsumugi and Yua.
Pieces: Wataridori no Somnium (pieces/渡り鳥のソムニウム) is a mystery-focused visual novel developed by Whirlpool and released in 2019. It spawned a sequel and fandisk subtitled Yurikago no Canaria, which was released in 2020. I completed the first game a few years ago, and I plan on starting the second one today. You can follow my real-time thoughts on it on the dedicated Pieces stream page.
The story follows Kousaka Tsubame, a high school student with a strange power that allows him to enter the dreams of other people by thinking of them before going to sleep. He doesn't know where he got this ability, but he tries to use it for good whenever he experiences a nightmare that someone else is having.

One day, he witnesses a beautiful girl from the window of an old mansion. He wanted to know more about her, so he tried using his skill, but this time around it completely fails and he is unable to see anything. As he tries to approach her in a more "normal" way, he gets to know that she has the same mysterious ability, but in her case, she doesn't get to choose which dream to see.
This forces her to go through hundreds of nightmares that completely disrupt her sleep routine to the point that it has created a phobia of sleeping in her. The protagonist is incredibly attracted to her for unknown reasons, and he starts, together with his other friends, to try and find a way to solve her issue.

This intertwines with the mystery surrounding the city, where there are stories of an angel that sings a lullaby each morning to fall asleep and ends up waking the townspeople every day. Where does this power come from? How did they manage to get it? These questions and much more will be revealed during the story.
The game has an enforced play order and a true ending. This means you will need to go through the first four routes of the main four heroines before being allowed to watch the true route, which is going to be the basis for the sequel and fandisk. I have taken a quick glimpse at the fandisk, and it looks like it doesn't have a common route; instead, it is mainly a set of stories for each heroine.

The main heroines are:
Kimihara Yua: The main heroine of the story. She is reclusive and distrustful of others because of her special condition, but she is generally a very sweet girl once she opens up. She lives together with her bird named Castilla, which seemingly is able to understand human speech.
Aino Miori: One year older than the protagonist, she is affected by a very specific type of "sleepwalking" that allows her to perform even complicated jobs and activities while she is completely asleep. She is the club leader and a close friend of Tsubame. She is almost always found sleeping in the club room when not doing activities.

Mishiro Alice: One year younger than the protagonist, she is a ball of energy: always cheerful and always active. She acts like the younger sister of the protagonist even if they are not really related at all. Her dream is to become a singer, but she is absolutely terrible at it. She is disaster-level terrible.
Takanashi Tsumugi: The same age as the protagonist, she is the childhood friend and the person closest to him. She is the "straight man" in most of her interactions with the other characters and deeply cares for the protagonist even if she isn't true to her feelings.

My favorite heroine of this story was definitely Tsumugi because of how her route focused a lot on her internal conflict between pursuing Kousaka and wishing him well instead. The two are always close, but they look in different directions, which causes them to often fall into misunderstandings. However, while I think she is a beauty, I still think that Miori is the most beautiful among the heroines.
While she is not a heroine in the main game, I still want to mention Ijuuin Kimika. She is the typical ojou-sama character, and I really liked the chapter focused on her dream and nightmare. It seemed to be the almost perfect setup for her to be a heroine, but it didn't materialize. Thankfully, the fandisk and sequel have her marked as having a route, so we will see!

Overall, I can suggest Pieces: Wataridori no Somnium if you are interested in a moderately long (31 hours for me) mystery story with a well-written true ending and charming characters.
