Sanshimai (Hinoenma) ga Ore wo Yuuwaku Shitekuru!! (三姉妹〈ヒノエンマ〉が俺をユウワクしてくる!!) is a supernatural romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Haseyoshi Eria, completed in four volumes.
The story follows Onogawa Kouzaburou, who moves to a remote village to focus on his studies after failing his medical school entrance exam. The place where he lodges is run by three beautiful sisters, but the village hides a peculiar secret shared by everyone living there.
First, the village is inhabited only by women.
Second, they all possess fangs and are most definitely not human.
From the moment Kouzaburou arrives, the sisters begin aggressively “tempting” him, insisting that they want to eat him. What exactly that means is left ambiguous at first, but the implication alone is enough to put the protagonist on edge.
The setup follows a familiar romantic comedy formula: the protagonist lives under the same roof as several attractive girls who all show interest in him. The twist here is that the girls are yokai, which adds a supernatural layer and forces Kouzaburou to deal with problems far more complex than standard romantic misunderstandings.
The three sisters are:
Yaoya Shio
A stunning beauty with long black hair. She is the one who tries the hardest to resist her yokai instincts. Since she is the first to genuinely fall in love with Kouzaburou, she fears revealing her true nature and worries deeply about being rejected.
Yaoya Yura
The cool and serious type. She takes the role to protect her family and when she notices Shio falling for Kouzaburou, she becomes more assertive, convinced that this relationship cannot lead to a happy ending. She attempts to stop things before anyone gets hurt.
Yaoya Fuu
The youngest sister and an energetic ball of chaos. She is affectionate, impulsive and doesn’t understand boundaries very well. She is basically the “big lovable dog” archetype in human form, which leads to many comedic moments.
There's also a few side characters like the youkai hunter girl and various other noname villagers introduced along the way. My favorite character was definitely Yura, it was nice seeing her shift from her cool side to a more endearing one after living with Kouzaburou for a while.
I will not go into heavy spoiler territory, but the story does not rely on dramatic twists or painful emotional beats. Instead, it offers plenty of ecchi comedy, lighthearted interactions and some enjoyable yokai-inspired folklore elements. It is a fun and easygoing read from start to finish.
If you want something relaxing that will keep you entertained for a few hours, I definitely recommend giving this series a shot. It is short, amusing and guaranteed to lift your spirits.
