Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita Ep.01 - Rona, that's cheating! You must follow the story!
Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita is an anime series based on a light novel of the same name, written by Sakaki Mochimaru and illustrated by riritto. The series has six volumes released so far between 2022 and literally today. I'm guessing they timed the release of the new volume to bank on the anime, as otherwise I don't know how to explain such precision.
The premise is simple: Rona is exiled by her family because her skill is supposedly the worst rank of all, SSS, which they mistakenly consider useless. The name of her skill is "Internet," and it turns out to grant her unfettered access to guidebooks for the entire world, complete with maps, exploits, tricks, and other ways to get ahead.

She wants to fulfill her wish to explore the world, just as her mother suggested she do. We don't know precisely what happened to her mother, but I'm assuming she has passed away, considering she otherwise would have opposed Rona being cast out from the family.
Her very first feat is literally obtaining an endgame staff that normally requires an entire questline to acquire, making her overpowered and completely clueless about what to do next. It's a comedy series with a quirky, cute protagonist and a very lighthearted world, despite the harsh reality of her being abandoned in a forest with no help.
Rona's personality as a protagonist works well: she's the typical airhead who is passionate about exploring the world, which lends itself well to the comedy and the hilarity of the "Internet" skill. She needs a counterbalance, though, so I'm putting my hopes on the other girls appearing in the character roster.
If you think about it, the protagonist becoming overpowered almost immediately, the "exiled from the family" trope, and various other elements scream that this has to be based on a web novel. And yes, it is based on a Narou web novel, even if I'm not sure to what degree the adaptation follows the original source material.

Honestly, I'm not expecting much out of it, but considering the chances of me picking up a novel with such an obvious Narou-style title are zero, I might as well give the anime a shot instead and hope that the seiyuu and animation team carry the premise. I'll cover this weekly on this blog.
