Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita Ep.05 - Retribution for Rona's family!

Episode 5 of Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita serves as a brief intermission, showing Rona gaining renewed resolve to continue her journey away from the starting zone. It was honestly a lighthearted episode mostly focused on wrapping up the remaining loose threads from this opening arc.

It was nice to see the elven queen (Elhaur) and princess (Erna) so healthy and happy, just as it was wonderful to see Elimina interacting with Rona once again. Sure, Elimina is still terrified of Rona's aura, but I'm sure she'll get used to it as time goes on and they spend more time together.

Rona got a hot mom (Elhaur) and her daughter (Erna) as friends. Hope Erna will reappear in the coming story arcs...

Elimina's imagination when it comes to Rona is kind of wild, come on how can you believe that cute Rona is evil?!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I really, really like Elimina as a character and hope we see plenty more of her in the future. Just imagine the yuri potential between Rona and Elimina, with both completely oblivious to what is happening yet gradually growing closer. *wears yuri-tinted glasses*

Rona's father and brother also faced retribution at the hands of the Elven Queen, who called the royal guard on them. The question is: does this conclude their involvement in the story? It feels a bit anticlimactic for them to exit without Rona being directly involved in any way. Perhaps it spares her some trauma, but still...

I know this is fun to watch, but Elimina, stop reading too much into Rona's words. She's genuinely a good girl! View video page

Overall, the narrative seems to be heading toward Rona accidentally saving the world without really intending to, simply through the absurd utility of her Internet skill. I wonder where the actual "chosen hero" is, though, because technically someone was supposed to clear the intended questline to obtain that staff, right?

Also, by the end of the episode, Rona essentially takes over a cult that mistakes her for the deity they worship, proceeding to force them to make mayonnaise. I saw the hooded figures in the opening, but I wasn't expecting them to dedicate their lives to her so quickly. Some revere her as a goddess, while others view her as a demon.

You just don't treat badly Rona and expect to survive. The queen of elves has her back!

Imagine becoming the leader of the cult and forcing them to build mayo as their first task. Rona...

The next episode will hopefully introduce new characters to the cast now that Rona is moving beyond the starter zone. Who will it be: the cute twins, or the woman who gives off major yuri vibes with Rona? Also, will Elimina return soon? She mentioned planning to return to her family, who lives far away from the starting town.
