Tsuki ni Yorisou Otome no Sahou - Luna Route complete! She changes so much when in love!

I just finished Luna's route in the visual novel Tsuki ni Yorisou Otome no Sahou (月に寄りそう乙女の作法) and completed the After Story chapters for all the heroines, bringing the story to a close. I knew from the beginning that Luna was the main heroine, especially considering how the sequel starts by following the continuity of Luna's route.

What I didn't expect was the amount of focus and detail given to her story compared to everyone else. In this route, Luna opens up quickly to Asahi. According to her friends, her personality changes to resemble her child self more: she becomes more genuine, more jealous, and more attached to Asahi.

They finally explain how Luna ended up becoming such a recluse who avoids contact with other humans. It seems she had a life very similar to Asahi's in his early days. She was pretty much always confined to her room due to her mother's wishes to avoid making Luna feel bad about appearing in public.

I simply love her looks and character design.

Why, you ask? Apparently, her mother felt responsible for giving birth to her with those looks (white hair, red eyes) and felt she would be ridiculed if she went out in public. She completely broke down mentally and would start apologizing just at the mention of Luna. Honestly, that made her seem like a horrible person to me.

Even if you think your daughter would have problems being in public, you should support her and find ways around it. Just wallowing in self-pity is not going to do it any justice. Unfortunately for Luna, the trouble did not end there because she was assigned a maid named Marume, who started to use her to gain power within the household.

The blushing here is way too adorable. Especially considering she still think Asahi is a girl.

I quite liked here how she's unfazed by Aeon's blackmailing.

Luna was completely oblivious to this and just happily tried her best to impress the person who, at that point, was the only mother figure she had. Once Marume noticed that Luna's position was of no use to her, she decided to leave and try to steal as much as possible from the money the parents had allocated to Luna.

It took quite a while, along with Yachiyo's support, for Luna to return to a more normal self after that breakdown. Despite all this, Luna still did not hate her mother. Instead, she decided, "Let's try to do something big. If I fail, they will just forget about me; if I win, maybe I will get praised." She decided to invest in stocks.

Her bet paid off. She built a company and became basically way richer than her parents (especially considering her father made a few mistakes). The praise, however, never arrived. Her mother continued with her self-pity, and her father was too proud to accept that his daughter had basically surpassed him. Her story ends with her paying off her parents to buy the mansion and cutting all contact with them.

Of course, the antagonist of this chapter was Aeon again, using his classic tactics to force Asahi into obedience. He kicked him out of school and wanted to bring him back to London. Luna was completely unfazed by the idea of not being at that school anymore, but Asahi preferred to find a middle ground.

I'm not into fashion design, but she looks gorgeous here.

Asahi leaves the mansion and works to prepare for the show in December, where they end up impressing Aeon and allowing Asahi to return as a male the next year as the school becomes co-ed. This is similar to what happened in the other routes, but this time Aeon finally reveals he actually likes his brother and just wanted to protect him all along. That is some tough love you are showing there, Aeon.

I genuinely laughed when Risona defined Luna as "the female version of Aeon." If you think about it, she is not wrong at all. There are many similarities in their personality traits, their talent for fashion design, and even the past trauma they both have with their parents.

We even get a small scene with Nanai in the post story of Minato. I wasn't expecting that.

I also went through the After Stories for each heroine. They were generously long segments explaining what happened to them after the end of the story, featuring both comedy and a few ecchi scenes. They complemented the routes quite well, but I am not sure if these were in the original version or if they were additions in the remaster version I played. Yuushe is still the crown of my most liked heroine overall, even though Luna came quite close thanks to her route.

Overall, Tsuki ni Yorisou Otome no Sahou was a great experience, and I can easily suggest it to anyone looking for a slightly different series focused a bit more on fashion design. I feel, though, that it would be extremely hard to read the other heroines' routes after the Luna one, so I suggest you follow a similar path as I did: playing the side heroines first and saving Luna for last.
