Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningengirai Kyoushi Ep.04 - Usami's real identity was...

Episode 4 of Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningengirai Kyoushi (人外教室の人間嫌い教師), as expected, switches focus to another heroine in a purely episodic manner. This time, it was Usami the rabbit's turn to go through her story arc and find stronger reasons to become human. Differently from Isaki (who stuck around for 1 episode and half) her story completes in one single episode.

Usami's story took an unexpected turn and added a new element to the storyline. I assumed she was a rabbit, probably someone's pet who wanted to become human to stay and talk freely with her owner. Well, it turns out she isn't even a living rabbit but a stuffed toy that the human played with.

You know, this summer scene wasn't really connected to the main story of the week, but man look at those...

Plus let's put some positivity in this series as the last few episodes were quite drama-ish

This opens up possibilities even bigger than I expected because, up until now, we assumed everyone in the cast must be a living entity, whether mythological or not. Now it opens the door to inanimate objects, so we could be seeing pretty much anything going forward. Is it time to get a possessed katana next?

Usami's story itself wasn't anything special. She wanted to see her owner one last time as a human because the owner was about to die (she was quite old), but she couldn't due to the rules. She asks the teacher for help, and the teacher goes "RULE BREAKER!". No, wait, that is Fate, but practically speaking, they sneak out and go to visit anyway, ready to be punished afterward.

This proves that Hitoma loses all his memories once he removes the ring. It's definitely going to be used in the future as a narrative device... View video page

In the end, she decides she wants to become a doctor once she becomes human in order to heal other people. It is a good motivation, especially considering she received a huge penalty at school due to the transgression. She is going to need a lot more effort to become human compared to the others.

Oh, and as you can see from the pictures attached to this post, they always deliver a comedy scene here and there with the inevitable fanservice. The quality of the animation is still PowerPoint-level, but the girls are quite attractive, so it helps make it less painful. Isaki's swimsuit is downright criminal; it is that good!

I was sure she was a pet, but damn she was a toy? Anything goes in this school...

*pats head* Keep playing girls, I'll keep watching.

Now I am curious about who is going to be the focus next week. We are down to just one girl in the main cast, but the ending sequence shows lots of other girls that haven't even been introduced yet, so it could go either way. I look forward to making another post once the new episode drops.
