Marriagetoxin Ep.02 - Kyouko is so pretty, like really stunning.
Episode 2 of Marriagetoxin continues with Kinosaki Mei's plan to find someone to marry the protagonist, Gero Hikaru, and leave an heir. Her plan is simple and actually makes sense considering the context. If normal people are way too normal to be able to stand being around him, why not target people in his same line of work instead? Criminals, victims, etc.
The first target is Himekawa Kyouko, a "phantom thief" stealing things not for profit, but to make people happy. She tried to steal a painting for a family but got captured by some criminals who are about to torture her. Mei suggests accepting the quest to save her, and she'll join to help him.

I was expecting the characters to be good-looking after watching Mei, but I was completely blown away by Kyouko. Short orange hair, blue eyes, and a boyish look. She's downright gorgeous and one of the most beautiful characters I've seen in anime recently. Her voice is also pretty good, even if I'm not really familiar with her seiyuu, Nagase Anna.
Of course, Mei is a power of her own; she's supposedly a male crossdresser, but genuinely she looks so good that I'm still doubting her identity. I'm sure it'll become an important focus of the series later on, as I feel the two are destined for each other.
It seems like there are other "Master" users like Gero around, and they will be the main antagonists of the story, as they are the only real entities that can fight against him on the same level. Interestingly, the first one we found this week is actually a woman, which makes me wonder if they may extend the search to enemies too.
You know, beggars can't be choosers, and Gero needs a vast group of targets to try to find someone willing to marry him. The character list in the anime series shows a massive amount of female characters, and I'm curious to see what the dynamics between them will be.

So far, we have Mei (partner in crime), Kyouko (saved by him), and Shizuku (fellow Master and antagonist). We probably need some more "normal" girls in the mix too, but we'll see what Mei manages to find. I'm honestly impressed with the series so far, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of it.
