Marriagetoxin Ep.03 - Great first story arc, now it's time for Ureshino Shiori
Episode 3 of Marriagetoxin completes the Himekawa Kyouko arc, which sets up the theme for the rest of the series. Turns out Kyouko, as expected, is not just a princess waiting to be rescued; she decides to jump down to help Gero by taking his syringe to continue the fight.
After defeating Ushio Shizuku in battle and sparing her (which almost surely means she is going to be one of the possible marriage partners), they return the painting, and Gero is thanked for his job for the first time—an impactful moment for him.

We have seen a few flashbacks of his childhood, and I can understand why he is so obsessed with the idea of building a normal family. Eating alone every day, watching other people like animals in a zoo, and receiving his father’s stern orders had to create significant trauma for him and his sister.
I am curious to know how they ended up so free from that environment now, though. That family does not seem the type that would let them hang around; did the old man die and their grip on their lives loosen? I know that there is the whole "sister must marry" mandate, but it still feels feeble compared to the freedom they currently have.
Of course, Gero does not outright declare his feelings to Kyouko, but that is expected because they just met and, more importantly, it is still the third episode of the series. The stakes have to get higher with more girls around him before he can actually make up his mind.
My main worry with the series is that the girls will only receive focus during their specific story arcs and then take a backseat. That would be a shame, as the various heroines interacting could be a great setup to make things spicier. Of course, we do not know yet, so I am hopeful for the next few episodes.

The target for the next episode is clear: Ureshino Shiori. It seems like the job this time will involve acting as a bodyguard. Who is targeting such a cute girl? Also, how is she going to take the news that a "user" like Gero is going to be her bodyguard? On one hand, it is reassuring; on the other...
