Yumene Connect Vol 3,4 - Fumino and Kaoru! The police is here?!

Volumes 3 and 4 of Yumene Connect continue from where we left off, with the Occult Club officially created and sanctioned by the school. Now it's all about actually doing some occult activities, but before that, the characters wanted to celebrate, and of course, things get a bit complicated.

An alien linked to Nano utilizes an item that brings everyone into a realm that is substantially a table game like LIFE, but instead of progressing through your life, you instead get into extremely questionable situations. I knew I would like it when the serious Kaoru tried to walk away annoyed, and for a penalty, all the girls ended up in swimsuits (except Kana).

Jun (Pure-chan) looks amazing good in this cover, it gives that 'gal' energy.

Kana is an absolute sweetroll, she doesn't have much fanservice compared to others, but that's her character!

Honestly, the core of Yumene Connect is well represented by this particular event. Lots and lots of fanservice scenes from all the heroines, with Kaoru having to jump rope while wearing a skimpy bikini, with the inevitable movement to the seal removal for Momoka trying to find the one with the special message.

Of course, Kana is separate; she has gotten no embarrassing scenes whatsoever, but that's normal, she's way too sweet and adorable to use her in that way. There's a relatively tame level of fanservice scenes for her, and instead they play more on the fact that she's cute.

There has to be a limit to how perverted a woman can be, but Jun goes over and beyond. Truly Pure-chan.

These volumes got some additional development for a few subcharacters too, mainly the teacher Yukimura Fumino (27 years old, single) who is supportive of Yuuhi getting more friends, but still isn't exactly convinced about the whole alien thing, and Tsukishima Kaoru, who looks like a robot in personality, but is actually quite sweet.

The series doesn't shy away from going heavy with fanservice, and it's a lot more direct with the interest shown by the heroines. You know, old-school heroines were more on the shy side, but in this case? They're quite interested, which makes it actually more fun to watch, like with the scene where a ghost possessed Yuuhi's body and started to do things...

Koharu giving a good prop to get Jun and Yuuhi closer together. The date was honestly amazing and pretty sweet.

Kaoru is becoming more and more likeable with each passing episode. And no, it's not just because she gets in extremely ecchi scene!

My ranking of heroines is starting to delineate itself, even if it's still hard to make hard decisions. I'd say Jun=Momoka>Kana>Kaoru=Fumino>Nano so far. It's not that I don't like Nano, but she usually works as a supporting character and doesn't have enough time to shine as a heroine proper.

Jun instead is outstanding in every encounter, her mind easily swayed toward perverted things even if Yuuhi is not even thinking about something like that. The two going out on a date together was extremely cute. I always end up liking childhood friends in manga, I wonder why...

Momoka initially I thought was a standard main heroine, but turns out she is quite extreme sometimes...

The police is here! How is she going to get into extremely ecchi situations?! That's what we are all hoping right?

The fourth volume ends with the vice-captain of the space police named Unika Landmark arriving on Earth to arrest a perverted alien, but somehow thinks that Yuuhi is even more guilty than the alien. What is going to happen to our protagonist? Will he get transported into space?

More importantly, how will Unika end up in embarrassing situations herself? Because at this point we know that all heroines in one way or another go there, so it's just a matter of understanding what situation will be used. I guess we'll talk about it soon once I start reading it.
