Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita no de, Kokuhaku Shitemita Ep.02 - Mikana didn't deserve that...
Episode 2 of Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita no de, Kokuhaku Shitemita (勇者パーティーにかわいい子がいたので、告白してみた) continues with further small developments in the newfound relationship between Cecilia and Youki, while also reintroducing Youki's allies to the plot.
Apparently Duke, Seek, and Happiness (Youki's underlings) were all safe and stayed away from the city trying to survive. Thanks to Youki's support, Happiness even manages to find a job as a maid at Cecilia's house. I have to say that I really like her cool voice (Noguchi Yori) and hope she gets more screen time.

In this episode, Cecilia shows that she has basically already fallen for Youki, almost as if she were doing an RTA (speedrun). She went on a date with him and blushes at every occasion or situation. I mean, at this point, it is just a checkbox exercise, and they should just start going out.
The Hero continues to be annoying with his advances toward Cecilia, despite having Mikana around trying her best to be near him. Honestly, I feel it is probably best for Mikana to just move on and look elsewhere, as it is just not worth the emotional damage she is getting out of it. She is beautiful and talented; surely she can find someone better.

The only thing I can think of is that the two are somehow more closely related than they appear right now. Maybe they are childhood friends or something? That could explain why Mikana is fixated on him. But really, Hero, just realize what a gem you have around you.
Another interesting part was the introduction of the character Raven. He is one of the members of the Hero Party who was not very involved during the first episode, and it turns out the reason was his voice. He has a very feminine voice and that's kind of a trauma for him. Youki (while still hiding his identity) told him not to worry about it and reassured him. This seems to have triggered a flag in him, and... Youki does not yet really understand the consequences.
Considering the Hero Party and Youki's comrades have all been reintroduced, the question now is: "Where are the other remnants of the Demon Army?". The Demon Lord was defeated, but what about the other generals? Are they just out of the picture, or might we see them return, perhaps disguising themselves as humans and living in society normally?
The animation quality is still the lowest tier of this season, but it is at least consistent with what we got last week. I think I am starting to get used to it, even if it is really a shame because the character designs for Cecilia, Mikana, and even Happiness are quite good.

I am curious where the story will go from here. I quite liked the comedy scenes and could watch more of the same, but surely there has to be some other main plot to develop, right?
