Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita no de, Kokuhaku Shitemita Ep.04 - Who is that guy?!
Episode 4 of Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita no de, Kokuhaku Shitemita (勇者パーティーにかわいい子がいたので、告白してみた) brings us, just as we predicted last week, the conclusion of the internal Hero Party turmoil, restoring the friendship between Mikana, Cecilia, and the Hero Yuuga.
Just as we saw in the last episode, most of this was caused by a series of misunderstandings between Yuuga and Mikana. He thought that Mikana hated Cecilia, which was why she suggested leaving her to Youki during the initial battle. Of course, this was purely a misunderstanding. Yuuga turns out to be a much nicer guy than I would have thought based on the other interactions we had with him in previous episodes.

The image of him until now was that of an easygoing guy trying to get under the skirt of any girl who passed by, but maybe that isn't all there is to him. He seems to care deeply for his comrades, but he is also prone to drawing conclusions without actually talking to the other person involved. Mikana has stayed by his side for basically most of her life, yet he is still completely oblivious to the fact that she is in love with him. Is it a requirement for heroes to be dense? Is there a test they take before becoming heroes?!
Aside from this, we also got a few other interesting tidbits here and there. For example, it looks like Duke has started working and has quite a cute coworker (see screenshot attached) who could possibly become a love interest in the future. However, I am curious how it would work considering humans aren't exactly accepting of demons like him.
The episode ended without many surprises until, right after the ED scene, we got a whole new character that seems to be opening the door for something a bit less "slice of life" for this series. We see a scene with some bandits pillaging a village and murdering the villagers which is sort of a classic in a fantasy world.
While everything seemed lost and the villagers were pleading for their lives, a mysterious young man appeared out of nowhere slicing through the bandits with ease within few seconds while looking very bored. He doesn't directly interact with the villagers as if he was uninterested in their survival or not.

The first thought I had in that moment was, "Is he a guy coming from Earth just like Youki?" mainly because of how bored he looked about the whole situation. It would make sense to pit someone with the same level of power against Youki, but I am still unsure how exactly he fits within the current, very lighthearted content. Is Youki going to be attacked by him searching for a challenge that the bandits couldn't give him?
Either way, it is a good addition in my opinion because the series would get stale pretty quickly if they just continued with the same light comedy every single week. I look forward to seeing his introduction next week.
