Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita no de, Kokuhaku Shitemita Ep.10 - Cecilia what was that?!

Episode 10 of the anime series Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita no de, Kokuhaku Shitemita (I Confessed to the Adorable Girl in the Hero's Party) begins the final story arc. This arc will center entirely on Cecilia and will likely continue until the end of the adaptation in three episodes.

The episode focused primarily on an adventure Cecilia took with Youki. Initially, the goal was to help Gar find a job, as he does not want to become too dependent on little Teal by doing nothing all day. It is a good attitude, and honestly, given how "yandere" Teal is becoming, finding work may become a necessity in the future. The scene near the end where she makes those eyes (see the screenshot) was a bit frightening.

This was absolutely the cutest scene of the anime. Cecilia really delivered on that line and the pose made her look even more adorable.

Cecilia in nun outfit also looks good, honestly prefer this over the standard white priestess outfit she uses normally.

The second half followed a multi-day A-rank quest involving Cecilia and Youki, showing how much closer the two are becoming by adventuring together. The story even introduced an "illusion magic" element used to skip some low level monsters, which I am certain will be used in coming episodes to reveal what Cecilia truly loves.

While the episode only technically hinted at the overarching final plot, it can be considered the beginning because Cecilia going on a quest with Youki felt very much like her way of saying goodbye. Apparently, a powerful noble from a neighboring country has asked for her hand in marriage, and the King cannot refuse outright.

Honestly this scene was so adorable I ended up watching it a few times during the episode. Like just look at how cute Cecilia is?! Youki, I understand your feelings. View video page

Yes, it is the classic arranged marriage plot that Youki will inevitably thwart to win Cecilia back, but I am not entirely against it as long as it is well-delivered. Classics are classics for a reason; however, execution is key to making them a truly good experience. Surely we'll see all the characters doing their part in this finale.

Cecilia has honestly started to grow on me whenever she takes center stage with her sometimes quirky personality, although I still prefer Mikana overall. Kudos to Kana Hanazawa because, as usual, her voice is so soft and charming that it is difficult not to like any character she voices.

I wasn't expecting Teal to go full yandere for a second. Honestly I would be very scared if I was Gar...

This was a joke costume, but somehow Cecilia still looked adorable in it. She's good!

Next week, I expect the arc to start in earnest with the introduction of the enemies and the situation. It will probably end with a separation or a cliffhanger leading into the finale. I wonder exactly how it will develop, however, as it does not seem like a plot that requires three full episodes.
