Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi Vol 13,14 - Yae attack are super effective!

Volumes 13 and 14 of Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi continue from where we left off, following the preview that hinted at a new character's introduction. She was indeed introduced, but ended up being just a brief, minor character, so the preview felt like bait, to be honest.

The new character is named Inugami Azuki, a practicing doctor who looks like a middle schooler at best due to her petite stature. She also helps out as a shrine maiden at the Inugami Shrine, where her brother is the chief priest. Uryuu ends up helping them under various circumstances, but honestly, it felt like a sideshow meant primarily to highlight Uryuu's dream of becoming a doctor.

Asahi continues to be the one I like the most looks wise in total. Her eyes and hair have somewhat a charm compared to the more normal Yae and Yuna.

Not that the others are not beautiful, but Yae and Yuna are more standard heroine material!

The real changes occur within the Amagami Shrine instead, with Yae becoming extremely assertive in pursuing Uryuu's attention. She cut her hair short as a symbolic break from her past, and now she is completely unhinged in her advances, cosplaying and being hyper-attentive to everything Uryuu likes.

This causes panic for the other two girls, especially Asahi, who openly declares her feelings multiple times. Yuna is still unable to be fully honest with herself, but as the resident tsundere, it would break her character archetype to change too drastically before the very end.

Among the many art that I've seen in this series, this smile of Yae is literally the best thing ever. Just look at her!

It's clear that an harem end is the best solution for this story. All four living and working together. What's there to hate?!

There is also a major scene where all three girls ask him on the spot to choose whom he likes. He was actually about to answer (without even realizing whose name he was about to say), but the girls backed down in fear of his answer, creating an extremely cute moment with them dropping to the floor and covering their ears.

I mean, there are still plenty of volumes left until the finale, so they can't reveal his choice just yet. I still think a harem ending is the only true happy ending for this series, because anything else would inevitably fracture the bond between the three sisters. My ideal conclusion has all four of them living at the shrine, managing it together while pursuing their individual dreams. That would only be possible if he marries all three, so... I'm keeping my hopes up.

I'll be honest here, I didn't recognize it was Yae until Uryuu pointed it out. Good disguise or I'm just bad at it...

Shame that Azuki is a minor heroine that we'll probably never see in full light again. I kind of liked her!

The preview segment shows Asahi as the focal point of the next volume. She's apparently going to compete in the national track-and-field tournament, and everyone else is in on a cheerleading routine to support her. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without drama: her biological father apparently shows up after all these years. I wonder what her past was really like...
