Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka Ep.12 - Ending was very relaxing. Kinme!
Episode 12 of Kirei ni Shite Moraemasuka (Wash It All Away) is the final episode that concludes this anime adaptation. It is a relaxing finale without any major developments regarding Kinme's personal backstory, which is a fitting end for a slice-of-life series like this one.
The first part of the episode focused on Kinme noticing that something was wrong with the landlady by observing her clothes. This observation saved the woman's life just in time, despite her typical stubbornness. Apparently, this had happened in the past with the previous owner of the shop before Kinme took over.

The story mentions this previous owner frequently, and I am honestly curious to know if their identity will be revealed in the future or if they will remain a background figure. Surely it cannot just be Kinme herself before she lost her memories, right? She clearly possessed extensive cleaning knowledge immediately after her memory loss, so that theory seems unlikely.
The rest of the episode was divided among several everyday segments, such as playing volleyball and visiting the hot springs with Yagara. The finale featured a celebration marking two years since Kinme took over the business, which also matches the only two years of memories she has.
Various characters from the series return to celebrate this moment with Kinme. These include recurring characters like Nairo, Kuriru, and Kyuushou, as well as the minor characters who used her services over the course of the 12 episodes. The series ends with Kinme welcoming a new customer and continuing her business.
If I were to judge this adaptation based on how it handled the mystery of Kinme's past, Kirei ni Shite Moraemasuka would not receive many points. The topic was barely touched upon and very little information was provided. However, if we step back and treat this simply as a slice-of-life series, the situation is different.

Watching Kinme do her job slowly was extremely relaxing. The series featured a good balance of cute scenes led by Nairo and Kinme, fanservice-heavy moments featuring Yagara, Kuriru, and Kinme, and even minor romance subplots with Kyuushou.
Overall, I enjoyed this series. While it may not be the best of the season, I think it is something I will remember in the future. I hope to give the manga a chance in the near future and perhaps report back here with my thoughts on the full story and any changes to my opinion.
