Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu Ep.10 - Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer. Run Spica!

Episode 10 of Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu starts the final arc. It seems the focus is still on the students running away from the two enemy mages, even though we received some interesting information about what happened to Claude that led him to become a cat.

As we predicted last week, the two mages are targeting Spica for her magic and want to kidnap her. They use a forbidden magic named Ophiuchus Magic, which is quite a smart play on the zodiac theme of the series, as Ophiuchus is considered the 13th zodiac sign, the "Serpent-Bearer." Because of historical context, it is largely ignored even though it should be between November 30 and December 17. Of course, we don't know why it is considered forbidden in this world, and the reason may be different.

She screams the 'I can fix her' just by looking at her. Can Spica bring her back to normal?

Together we will escape. How is the question though because Claude is completely drained up.

Arc Turus said that Spica's magic is unique in the world. I can see that, especially because it translates to "rebirth magic," but the question is, why does no one actually notice or say anything about it and instead treat it like any other magic? Especially the teachers, who should know better.

Is it because Spica isn't able to use it, or because they just don't know about it at all? Also, what does it mean (see attached video) that she has two types of magic within her? My speculation is that she has a goddess within her, but that might be a bit too cheesy, so I'm not convinced.

This is the incriminating scene that is starting to give hints about why Spica is such an interesting target to them. Two magic in one body? View video page

Regarding Claude's past: It seems like he fought against followers of a heretical religion and was defeated by their current leader. Arc Turus was a student of the original Claude's class back then and, for some reason, decided to switch sides and become a heretical follower as well. I wonder what happened precisely back then because Arc Turus looked like quite a normal girl. Are the other students still alive?

Oh, and I'm liking Hana more and more when I see her being protective of Spica. For instance, this week she separated her from Claude when she thought he was being too friendly, and she was the first to attack Arc Turus to free Spica from her clutches. Clearly, the major yuri partner, Aria, should step up her game if she wants to stay in the running.

The pure face of shock and disgust of Spica is really shown here. I can totally understand her too.

Apparently Hana likes black underwear? Let me take some notes here, nothing to see here

Next episode is titled "Tarf's purpose, Chiron's resolve," and the preview shows that the focus shifts to the last two students whose magic we haven't seen: Cancer Tarf and Sagittarius Aldea Chiron. The preview is quite bloody and shows them in quite a predicament; hopefully, no one sustains any permanent damage.
