Nikke 2X2 Love Part 2 - Real Ending unlocked! Wedding dress Arcana?
Just as promised, the second part of the Nikke 2x2 Love event has been released, and as expected, it features a significant new chunk of story. I have explored 98% of the content, missing only a few branches, and I have obtained all the endings. I must say that this is the most entertaining Nikke event to date.
The story picks up where it left off, focusing on the cultural festival preparations. Many other schoolgirl Nikkes appear in these scenes, and you can provide funds to one side or the other to try to make things work perfectly, though they won't the first time around, with plenty of choices along the way.

As usual, Privaty and Arcana follow completely separate paths in the storyline, and you branch out with choices reminiscent of those in the first phase. Examples include taking the tablet to enter the Privaty area or choosing the clothes to enter the Arcana segment.
Four new "Real" endings, two for each heroine, have been added to this second half, serving as the final conclusions for Arcana and Privaty. It is hilarious that they stacked Real endings on top of True endings, but I suppose they needed a different naming convention to avoid confusing the players further.

The second half of the story is so interconnected with the first that obtaining the best endings for the two heroines requires collecting all the items from the entire storyline. This can mean a lot of backtracking if, like me, you did not bother getting everything in the first half yet.
The sense of satisfaction when everything connects and you meet all the requirements to unlock a new ending is priceless, and it is part of the charm of these games. It is clear that the developers knew exactly how to design this experience, as it is very reminiscent of the dating sims from the late 90s and early 2000s.

Honestly, now that the event is substantially complete, I feel that it won't be easy for Nikke to top what they achieved here. I think we are due for a new Pilgrim unit soon, but I wonder if the next story will manage to grab me as much as this one did. Goddess Fall was great, but this was something special.
