I just finished the Goddess Fall event, and wow, what an emotional rollercoaster. I’d heard plenty of people describe it as brutal, but I definitely wasn’t prepared for just how devastating it would turn out to be. By the end, most of the powerful Pilgrim Nikkes involved were either seriously injured or outright killed, and whatever emerged from the Queen’s body seems practically unstoppable.

Liliweiss is apparently “back,” though I doubt it’s really her in any meaningful sense. It feels far more likely that something or someone is merely using her body as a vessel. The real question now is: who, or what, is in control? I’m fairly certain the original Queen didn’t survive, at least not in her original form, so whatever we’re dealing with now might be something entirely different, and possibly even worse.

The climactic battle featuring Nayuta, Nihilister, and the Pioneers joining forces to take down the Queen was absolutely incredible. The stakes felt massive, and the direction of the fight, both narratively and visually, was top-notch. As always, the animated cutscenes were beautifully done and perfectly captured the sheer scale and danger of the encounter. It really emphasized just how terrifyingly powerful the original Queen was, even with everyone united against her.

Lore-wise, I’m becoming more and more convinced that the Raptures were originally human creations, a weapon from long ago that spiraled completely out of control. The hints scattered throughout the event seem to point strongly in that direction, but there’s still a lot left unexplained. I really hope future events dig deeper into the history of humanity and the origins of the Rapture. There’s so much potential there that hasn’t been fully explored yet.

On a lighter note, one of my favorite parts of the event was definitely Chime’s arc. Seeing her finally take revenge on Indivilia using a fragment of Crown’s power was deeply satisfying. Her “Naked King” form looked stunning too, I didn’t care much for her original design at first, but this temporary transformation completely changed my mind.

Now, all that’s left is to wait and hope the next event picks up on the fallout from Goddess Fall. After that ending, the world of NIKKE feels more uncertain than ever, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
