Seihantai na Kimi to Boku Ep.11 - Shino was so different back then...

Episode 11 of the anime series Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (You and I Are Polar Opposites) continues the school trip arc. This time, the episode focuses on the second day of the trip, specifically the relationships between Nishi and Yamada, and Azuma and Taira, while also including the usual minor scenes with the main couple, Suzuki and Tani.

Nishi and Yamada have shown significant growth in this episode. With a nudge from Rikako, Nishi was finally able to talk to Yamada while he was with his friends. Although this may seem like a small step, for the shy Nishi, it likely felt like an insurmountable mountain. The two make a good couple, though I believe they are still far from establishing a real relationship.

Shino was so much different back then, more beautiful, but at the same time more fake compared to the current cheerful one.

This basically sums up the characters of the class of Suzuki and Tani. I still think I like Aoi and Manami the most personally...

Azuma and Taira continue their discovery phase, with Taira finally noticing how beautiful her smile is when she is around her friends and how much she has changed since middle school. Azuma is the most experienced of the girls in the story, but that experience also includes many negative encounters.

Her relationship with Taira seems to be settling naturally, yet neither of them appears fully aware that they are starting to notice the other more and more. I am genuinely curious if they eventually start dating in the manga, as the anime is unlikely to reach that point.

Come on Taira, there were better ways to express what you meant to Azuma. I know it's embarrassing, but be more bold! View video page

Sometimes, while I am watching, I feel interested in the series, but as soon as the episode ends, I feel as though nothing has changed and we are back at square one. There is a sincere lack of plot development, with the only notable exception being the interactions between Azuma and Taira.

The next episode is the final one of the season, and I am very curious about how they plan to end the series. Will it be an episode centered on Suzuki and Tani advancing their relationship with an important event, such as a full kiss, or will they focus on several different couples as they did this week?

Technically, the third day of a school trip is usually reserved for students to explore freely, which is when most of the actual dates happen. Nishi already has her appointment with Yamada, so following that route seems the safest choice, though it might not provide a particularly strong ending.
