Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiyorita Vol 15,16 - A fitting ending! Hana is still the cutest!

Volumes 15 and 16 of Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiyorita! (私に天使が舞い降りた!) complete the story without any major hiccups, simply continuing to do what the series has done best until now. Specifically, there are many cute and relaxing moments between Miyako and the various heroines.

Every heroine has a small chapter dedicated to her to provide a final appearance before the series concludes. Everyone gets a chance to shine. Even the heroines' mothers have a few funny moments, such as when Miyako almost gives in to the temptation of asking Hana's mother to do a cosplay shoot. She was stopped at the last second by Hana, but the urge was strong.

The main five heroines of the story even though the bottom two are kind of minor.

Noa was a fun character, especially with her interest in Hinata in the later volumes.

The ending centers on the heroines' graduation from elementary school as they move toward the next steps in their lives, perhaps finding new friends, love, or new passions. It shows that they still see each other from time to time, even if they are no longer in the same class. There is a nice picture (attached) showing a photo of them all together at the graduation.

Miyako's comment to Hana is left open to interpretation: "Once you are a bit older, I will use that 'I will do anything' ticket you gave me". Hana was very suspicious of Miyako's intentions, but that is just typical for her. What could Miyako possibly want from her? Perhaps more cosplay shoots?

Hana is, after all, the cutest between them all. Really like her expressions...

I wasn't expecting these three to become this close later in the story.

Joking aside, it is clear that Miyako is interested in Hana, but she is fine with waiting until Hana is older to see if fate brings them together. I wouldn't be against assuming they wait at least another five or six years. Leaving it open is better, however, because what we really care about are the moments they shared during these years.

Next on my list is watching the anime movie Precious Friends, which was released a few years ago, to complete my experience with the series. It feels a bit sad to know that I won't be seeing these girls anymore, but perhaps in the future, once I have forgotten enough about it, I can go through the series again with fresh eyes.

It is left to imagination how the girls ended up looking after growing up.

The promise here was suspicious. What are you planning to do Miyako?

Now that this story has concluded, I am genuinely interested in seeing what the author's next publication will be. The author does not seem to have any other major series in their history, having primarily worked on spin-offs of existing titles. This makes it even more exciting to see what direction their work takes next.
