Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiyorita! (私に天使が舞い降りた!) is a comedy and yuri manga series written and illustrated by Nanatsu Mukunoki. It concluded with 16 volumes and ran from 2016 to 2025, receiving both an anime adaptation and a movie. I have currently read 14 volumes, and I plan on finishing the rest soon.
The story centers around Miyako Hoshino, a very shy and socially awkward college student who begins interacting more with the friends of her younger sister, Hinata. The story is told through skits that mostly take place in Miyako’s house, whether she is baking sweets for the girls, preparing outfits, or conducting cosplay photo shoots with them.
The moment Miyako first saw Hana Shirosaki was the moment "an angel flew down to her" because she was so enthralled by Hana's cuteness and wanted to become her friend. It is quite endearing to see Miyako try her best to approach Hana, even if she often ends up looking a bit "creepy" in the process due to her extreme awkwardness.

The yuri undertones in the relationship between Miyako and Hana are clear, just as they are between Hinata and Noa or Koko and Miyako. However, these feelings are never more than hinted at, which makes sense considering the age difference. I still find myself wondering if the series will eventually show what happens to them in the future.
As with most 4-koma manga, there is not much traditional "development" in the story, and the characters remain mostly static in their roles. However, we do get to learn more about the characters' personalities over the course of the volumes as more people join the cast to make the series more fun.

The main characters are:
Miyako Hoshino
The protagonist of the story and an extremely shy girl currently studying to become a fashion designer. She is actually very talented and is able to create complicated cosplay outfits every day for the other girls to wear. She secretly loves to cosplay herself but finds it too embarrassing to admit. She adores Hana above all else.
Hinata Hoshino
Miyako’s younger sister. She is attached to her sister to an almost absurd degree, a trait she has shown since childhood. She is the most childish and innocent among the three main girls. She is sometimes shown to be jealous of Miyako’s obsession with Hana.

Hana Shirosaki
The main heroine and Hinata’s classmate. She is smart and generally quite mature for her age, but her composure crumbles when it comes to sweets. This often makes Miyako worry that she might eventually be kidnapped by someone offering her treats. She claims to hate cosplaying, but tolerates it in exchange for snacks.
Noa Himesaka
Hinata’s classmate who moved in next door to Miyako. She loves being called cute and wants to be the center of attention. She is often disheartened whenever Miyako fawns over Hana instead of her. She also has a huge crush on Hinata, which she shows in very obvious ways, though Hinata remains oblivious.

There are other characters who appear in the story, such as fellow classmates Koyori Tanemura and Kanon Konomori. On Miyako’s side, there is the entertaining "stalker" Koko Matsumoto, who is fixated on Miyako and loves her unconditionally. We also get occasional glimpses into the lives of the girls' mothers and their interactions as adults.
My favorite character is definitely Hana Shirosaki. As the titular "angel" of the series, her cuteness and strong personality (which fails only in the presence of sweets) are great, but I really like most of the characters. Koko’s unwavering dedication to Miyako is hilarious, and Miyako’s social awkwardness is very charming to watch.

Overall, this has been one of the series I have most enjoyed reading recently, and I highly suggest you give it a shot. I am going to try to finish the last two volumes in the coming weeks and then finally watch the movie.
