I just finished reading Volume 8 and Volume 9 of Watashi no Tame ni Nuginasai (わたしのために脱ぎなさいっ!). While, as you can expect from a pure comedy/ecchi series, there weren't huge developments on the story side, it still felt worth making another post about it.
We continue from where we left off in Volume 7 with Ninose Shizuku and Shirakawa Kokona starting to act a bit embarrassed when near each other. This follows the kiss and declaration in the previous volume that basically set them up as "more than friends", but without actually declaring themselves as a fully-fledged yuri couple yet.

To spice things up, here comes the "Drawing Fairy", a childhood friend of Shizuku from elementary and middle school who stayed with her all the time while she was drawing. Shizuku was unaware of her actual presence (when she goes into focus mode she ignores all surroundings) and talked to her assuming it was all in her imagination.
This caused Shizuku to reveal lots of embarrassing secrets to her, and it was a sweet memory for both of them. For Kokona, though, this new girl is a rival who has come to steal Shizuku. Naturally, she starts going into full jealousy mode, trying to compete with her over who is the best model for Shizuku.

Cue lots of comedic scenes with Kokona escalating her approaches to try and win the judges and become the "Main Model" for Shizuku. In the end, it was kind of her just panicking over nothing because, while Shizuku appreciates all models, she has a special eye for Kokona and that isn't going to change anytime soon.
There were also some developments between Miyake Karin and Iwakura Kotone. All signs seem to indicate that the two are going to become the "Second Yuri Couple" of the series, even if they are still at an early stage compared to Shizuku and Kokona. The scene with Karin falling asleep on the train and leaning on Kotone was extremely cute (see the screenshot below).
The rest of the two volumes consisted of the usual hijinks with tons of fanservice and crazy situations. We go from the girls hunting for ghosts in the school halls while wearing various cosplays, to Shizuku (helped by a few members of the cast) going to Comiket while hiding her identity to sell her doujin books.

One thing that I have been thinking about is if we are ever going to get an anime adaptation for this series. I would really love to see Shizuku animated and voiced. The high level of fanservice didn't seem to stop other series from getting adapted, so I don't think that is a showstopper.
Plus, it already has 9 volumes out there and it is still ongoing, so it proves that there is an audience for it. It is just about time for them to try and use it. I kind of miss seeing these stupid ecchi comedies on screen like in the old days; they have become way less prominent recently compared to the 2000-2010 period.

I am looking forward to reading more in the future volumes. I feel we are not that far away from completing the series, but I am not yet fully sure about how the author really wants it to end.
