Yankee JK Kuzuhana-chan Vol 23,24 - End of School Festival. Now election?!
Volumes 23 and 24 of Yankee JK Kuzuhana-chan continue with the school festival giving a bit of development to Hanako's past that was much needed after so many volumes of circling around it with mentions. As you might remember, she was known around the city for a battle she had against a local gang years before the story, creating a legend about the invincible Yankee.
These same guys appeared again during the school festival, asking for a rematch and reigniting the trouble from back then. Hanako was almost ready to fight, which would've caused big trouble for the school and herself, but every other character chipped in to stop the battle from happening.

Of course, the gang wasn't happy and tried again, but was easily dispatched by Reona simply by avoiding their attacks and striking back as if nothing had happened. It was great to see Reona back, and honestly, she continues to be a heroine that I would really love to see become a regular in this gigantic cast.
The school festival brings closure to the entire premise of the series centered around Hanako being a yankee. This should finally lead to the end goal, which is her becoming a normal girl, dating Saotome, and reaching the happy ending that she always dreamed of. Of course, it all depends on how long the author wants this to continue, so it might be a while.

The other side of this festival was Makoto facing her past. After the festival was a success, she met again with her classmates and managed to bring closure to their "fight." Her love declaration was rejected by Saotome with the usual excuse about wanting to focus on sewing for now. It's kind of cheap, but I guess the author didn't want the series to enter the endgame just yet by showing Saotome declare anything certain.
Of course, Makoto isn't the type to give up that easily, so she concocted something that might bring trouble to Saotome very soon: a school-wide election to decide if Saotome should become a member of the student council. If at least half of the school students vote for it, he'll agree to join.

I'm 50/50 on where it goes from here. The series itself needs some change, as it's becoming stale with nothing really moving the status quo. His joining the student council could be that spice, but let's see where this goes. I just hope they don't keep adding more new characters...
