Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.05 - Sara is quite cool. Now time for training bootcamp?

The fifth episode of Yuusha no Kuzu (勇者のクズ), as we predicted, was dedicated entirely to Sara Kashiwagi Pendragon, the third heroine of the group. She is the most mature of the three, both physically and mentally, and seems to be the most reasonable in her approach to Yashiro.

In this case, she asks him to help her with a specific school activity that requires the support of a professional Hero to earn credits. The plan is to try to find a police dog that has been kidnapped by a group of criminals and, if possible, rescue it. Of course, the professional Hero gets paid by the school (100,000 yen), so that is a good way to lure the always-broke Yashiro.

She was actually quite cool when she attacked the panda. Still my favorite heroine so far overall.

There it goes, the best bait to try and lure Yashiro. Poor guy he's always in debt with someone...

The mission itself goes well, but it also raises some questions for me. What is the Kabukicho Demon Lord preparing there? Yashiro seems to think there is a link between the monstrous panda and the Demon Lord that lost control in the previous story arc. Are they developing a new drug even more powerful than E3?

Sara's power was also introduced, and it turns out she has the ability to detect risk and enemies within 200 meters. Unfortunately, she hasn't explained in detail how it works, as the school suggests keeping it a secret. To be honest, that is reasonable, as an ability is the lifeline of any Hero. Knowing exactly how it works makes it easier for enemies to create a counter.

And in the end Sara went deredere on Yashiro too and that closes the introduction arc. I really liked when she blushed at him near the end. View video page

She also seems to be reasonably strong, which makes me think the main reason she is a "dropout" is primarily because of the overwhelming impact her father has on her life. He is the most popular Hero of all time and the principal of the school. I can see why people would avoid getting involved with her just to reduce the risk of being targeted by him.

The main story also seems to be moving forward behind the scenes. In the final segment, one of the "Knights of the Round" (presumably an underling of Sara's father) asks Ishinoo to join them to fight the Demon Lord that is pursuing him. While he refused, it is clear that this is eventually going to involve Yashiro and the girls down the line.

Demon lords are using also these to work? Or is it merely the kid of the henchman?

More like, they don't want to become the center of the attention should anything bad happen to her.

Judging from the short preview segment, it seems that the next episode, titled "Boot Camp of the Brave," will focus on the first experience after Yashiro accepted the position of teacher. I can totally see the girls being very motivated to learn, but what exactly is Yashiro going to teach them that the school couldn't?
