Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.06 - Training bootcamp. What happened to Sara?!

The sixth episode of Yuusha no Kuzu (勇者のクズ) continues from the previous installment with the "training bootcamp for heroes" that Yashiro holds to prepare the girls for an upcoming test at the Hero Academy. Initially he was against the idea (as usual), but they say "money makes the world go round" so...

The goal is to first identify the girls' weak points and then help them overcome them. Sara's primary problem is her fear of being hurt, which leads her to adopt a "one-hit win or forfeit" approach in every battle. This tactic does not work well when fighting against enemies that are stronger than she is. Flashback seem to indicate she has a strong sense of inferiority toward her father.

They're supposedly the same age, but seriously Yukine is so small she feels at least 3 years younger..

Also Yukine is the most receptive of Yashiro's orders, at times she feels like a cute dog.

Aki's problem, on the other hand, is her fixation on "not killing anyone," which holds her back. This seems to be related to her father's teachings. In this episode, Yashiro seemingly began to remember someone while looking at Aki's face. Could it be that he was related to her father and knows the truth about his death?

Yukine, as expected, has no major issues with her combat style. I had no doubts about this, considering how openly she goes for the kill whenever she has even a small opportunity. Her real issue is academics, and again, I am not surprised in the slightest. She does not look like the type who would spend time studying books.

Sara's voice is just way too good. That deep, cold voice is a wonder to listen to. Again Yumiri Hanamori is doing a great job in this role. View video page

The episode concludes with two characters appearing at the school at night and ending up in a fight with the girls. I understand the part about the two being heavy E3 users and going berserk with a monstrous arm like the Demon Lord from the first story arc, but what happened to Sara in that scene?

She was shown on the ground with a very shocked expression, completely unable to move. She definitely isn't at a usage level of E3 that would cause side effects, is she? I don't think it is fear either, because she faced a huge monster without much issue just one week ago. What happened to her?

Plus she's the most genuine with her reactions. Yes, yes I'll stop, but I like her.

Yamcha pose is something of a classic and they do deliver here too.

The next episode is titled "Death of a Brave," and it will likely be the girls' first experience with the death of a Hero. But who is going to die? It has to be someone we know for it to be impactful, so that limits the possibilities to the few Braves at the bar that Yashiro frequents. But who could it be?
