Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.07 - Sara, that makes sense. Time for revenge!

The seventh episode of Yuusha no Kuzu (勇者のクズ) continues from where we left off, with two mysterious individuals infiltrating the school and attacking the group. Sara is paralyzed, and the other two do not seem to have enough strength to fight against the assailants.

Yashiro manages, after quite a bit of effort and with Aki's support, to defeat one of them. The other assailant does not seem interested in pursuing the group further, allowing everyone to escape. They all carry a special symbol resembling a dragon, representing their allegiance to a Demon Lord.

Aki really is cheerful and energetic whenever she's talking of her father.

Turns out she wasn't just a random enemy, but part of a larger organization linked to all the events.

After the battle, we discover something that I was honestly not expecting. It turns out that Aki's father, Takamiya Kiyohito, is not just any Hero that Yashiro knows, but the very teacher who taught Yashiro everything about fighting and being a Hero. Aki is aware of this, as she has heard about his adventures from her father.

There are discrepancies between what Aki saw in her father and what Yashiro experienced. Yashiro remembers Kiyoto as a very violent Hero who despised his work and wanted to retire as soon as possible. Aki, however, remembers him as a gentle person who spoke about being a Hero in enthusiastic tones.

Seems like Aki doesn't read the mind of people that are constantly around her. That makes sense as it would make it very awkward for people as everyone has things to hide... View video page

Considering Aki can read other people's minds, it is unlikely that she is unaware of his true nature. Perhaps she is deliberately omitting something, or could Yashiro's memories be wrong? It is difficult to guess at this point, but this is definitely not the last time we will hear about him.

Furthermore, we finally learn the full extent of Sara's power and why she froze in place during the battle last week. It turns out she does not actually detect the position of enemies; instead, she acts as a sort of "Dragon Ball Scouter." She can sense exactly how powerful the enemy in front of her is. The enemy in this case was so much more powerful than her that she froze in place out of fear. That is understandable considering it is a matter of life and death. Even Yashiro says that her reaction is normal, but he notes that she needs to learn to control it.

Sara continues to be the most normal between the three heroines and the one I like the most.

Sorry, but despite the serious topic those eyes distract me completely.

The episode ends with the death of Ishinoo at the hands of the mysterious dragon group. Joe and Yashiro are now getting ready to exact vengeance on them. Judging from the preview segment, the next episode is titled "The Sin of the Hero" and shows Maruta joining the group to assault the enemy base. I am curious to see what role the three heroines will take in this conflict.
