Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.14 - That priest is not even suspicious, just literally...
Episode 14 of Yuusha no Kuzu continues where we left off, with Yashiro and the girls entering the "Hero Onsen," where they are greeted by several suspicious characters. Remember when I mentioned I expected the priest to be similar to the one in Dies Irae? Well, it turns out I was wrong...
He is much worse; he is actively trying to kill or kidnap the group and has that look (see screenshot below) that shows he is completely insane. Apparently, he has warrants out for his arrest and had to move to this remote place to avoid the authorities. The girls are on alert, but Yashiro is not particularly moved by the situation because, as you know, he is just your average hero in this world.

The entire narrative of this arc centers on discovering the origin of the creatures that attacked Yukine in the past and are now becoming more common in the world. They seem to have been manufactured here, and Yashiro is using the war between Demon Lords as a way to reach the truth.
Many heroes and military personnel are participating in the assault on the base, which makes me expect a grand battle. Of course, I cannot exclude the possibility that someone will betray the group along the way. Aki was unable to sense anything using her power, but we know her powers are not exactly perfect.
We also learned that Seira has apparently been getting friendlier with Yashiro, as they have been playing card games together a few times (a game similar to Magic: The Gathering). After Yukine, now even Seira is getting closer emotionally to Yashiro, and Aki is, of course, jealous because she is still treated poorly by him.
I laughed out loud when the people in the group started jokingly referring to Yashiro as the "lolicon hero" because he brought Aki, Seira, and Yukine (all three high school girls) along on this mission. Poor guy can't catch a break; the girls are heroes too, and they know what they're doing. Well, kind of...

Judging from the short episode preview for the next episode, titled "A Brave's Melee," we will get a slew of new characters, like the girl shown in the OP, which will be interesting. However, I think the biggest part is Aki's small scene. She is shown with her hand to her face, eyes vacant, sweating profusely.
Is it because of her power to read minds, or is there something else going on? Aki is the most mysterious among the three girls; aside from her past with Yashiro's old teacher, she has those eyes that are clearly unnatural. I just noticed again today while watching the OP that her eyes change to that form, and I wonder if it is just an artistic rendition or if they are truly connected to her past.
