Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.16 - Hot springs! Seira so cute! Wait, his teacher was...

Episode 16 of Yuusha no Kuzu continues right from where we left off with the battle against the demon lord Venus Veil. After the half-dragon members left, there was very little that could stop Yashiro, so the battle itself wasn't a big deal and it ended almost immediately, but the information revealed afterward is key.

Venus Veil identified Takamiya Kiyoto’s sword skills in Yashiro, which confirms that they worked together. Furthermore, they found his name on the list of people involved in that research facility’s project, making it easy to draw a conclusion.

The two weaker (relatively) heroines of the hot springs are collaborating to try and defeat Yashiro's resistance. *nods*

Now we know some new valuable information, never ever let Aki near a drink otherwise she becomes very very dangerous.

My speculation is that Jougamine Aki is actually the only "perfect" specimen to emerge from that facility—the only one able to maintain E4 powers without becoming one of those monsters. Why was she freed? I suspect Kiyoto betrayed the facility for some reason. We don't know much about him, though, so it's hard to tell.

Thankfully, the next episode, "Return of the Braves," looks like it will delve into his past to see exactly what happened back then and who Aki really is. As you may remember, there is a big gap between her image of Kiyoto and Yashiro's image of him, but why?

I think I'm in love with Seira, looks, voice, mannerism, personality. She's just way too adorable. It's been a while since I liked an heroine this much! View video page

Also, what exactly killed Kiyoto? Was it an act of selfless love to save Aki, or something much less dramatic? I'm really excited to know more about it. When I started, I didn't feel it as much, but I got quite attached to the characters after so many weeks.

Now that the plot is out of the way, let's talk about the important things. Yes! We did it! We got the hot springs scene with the three heroines. It wasn't exactly what I expected, as it was mostly Yashiro scolding them and pointing out their weaknesses in battle, but we still managed to get some fanservice, so... hurray?

Seira's embarrassed face and gestures makes her look like 20 times cuter than Aki and Yukine

The face of total despair of Yukine. Who is the monster who ate all the crab she wanted to eat?!

Seira was the cutest of the three because she felt embarrassed, whereas Aki and Yukine were too direct and confident, making them less entertaining to watch. I also liked how the girls are basically treating him like a dad at this point. Seira saying, "Yashiro, I'm hungry," when they realized the others had eaten all the food was adorable.
