Zaako Zako Zako Zako Sensei - It was strangely cute so far...Nov 26, 2025, 7:59:04 PM

An interesting manga series I have been reading recently is Zaako Zako Zako Zako Sensei (ざーこざこざこざこ先生), written and illustrated by Zeroyon. It is complete in 6 volumes, although I have only reached volume four so far.

The story follows Souichi Kirisaki, a teacher at a private middle school, who gets constantly made fun of by three of his students: Chika Yuzukami, Yuki Kitsuregawa, and Momoka Watarase. He tries his best to act like a proper teacher, but the girls show little interest in sparing his feelings.

The three of the apocalypse
Totally pervert!

The truth, though, is that all three of them love him romantically. Each one is trying to hide her feelings from the others, which leads them to keep up their teasing so they do not accidentally reveal their position.

Yes, it is a romcom, and a pretty fun one to be honest, even if it follows many traditional patterns. The manga is structured as small skits that last only a few pages, usually focusing on one of the girls or, in some cases, all three together.

Love!

There is not much development in the overarching story, but I do not think anyone expects deep plot progression from this kind of series. I am mostly in it for the comedy, and the manga definitely delivers thanks to how quirky the girls are.

Momoka is a full-on stalker who lives next door to Souichi, which gives her the chance to observe his actions far more closely than she probably should considering their relationship (she even bugged his house).

That's...HUGE!
Hypnosis works! I knew it!

Chika is a complete closet pervert despite denying it with all her strength, and yet she uses every opportunity to get closer to Souichi or indulge in her wild daydreams. Some of the scenes with her are really memorable with the incredible lines she deliver with a total deadpan face.

Yuki is probably the least strange of the three since she is your typical tsundere with some adjustments here and there. She is genuinely adorable, and she is definitely my favorite, although the funniest one is absolutely Chika.

Her dog? not a bad idea!
*smirk*

A few extra characters show up from time to time, mostly classmates of the girls, and they help push situations in different directions. For example, when the class representative gets praised by Souichi, the main trio becomes jealous and tries to outdo her.

I am looking forward to reading the last few volumes to see how the story concludes. Will Souichi manage to get his wish granted?
