ZZZ 2.8 Patch Story - Whoa, that final trailer is quite hype. Roscaelifer!

Just finished playing the 2.8 patch story for ZZZ and it delivered enough hype to sustain me for the next few patches for sure. The story follows Cissia and Billy as they try to find Ramiel and recover the stolen W-Engine. The initial parts are comedy-focused, with Cissia and Billy leading the way.

I loved the expressions Cissia made here; she's probably the character I like most out of the 2.x series overall because of her personality. I'm not even that much into gals, but she really carries every scene she's in. She's a coward, and yet she tries her best to protect Belle.

just look at her face and gestures as she's narrating the tale. Cissia just is the cutest thing ever isn't she?

Like her outfit is clearly sexy, but it just falls flat in front of her comedy potential.

Then, Promeia joins the fray and shows the story she had with Cissia from her point of view. As expected, she just wanted to pet the snake as if it were some cute animal and didn't mean to injure Cissia in any way. It was all in Cissia's head all along, though, admittedly, after witnessing the slaughter of those criminals, you could understand her perspective, especially as she was a small child.

And then, that battle scene: Belle is devoured by that weird white monster and basically becomes a "sacrifice"-type monster, similar to those we've seen with Bringer and others. She was only saved by Ramiel's entrance, but this confirms that the experiments they performed on her at the Helios Academy are related.

I quite like the dark angel attire more than the white angel, I wonder if her character comes with both forms or one is limited to a skin...

Let's just admit it, Hoyoverse has a boner for pink jesus. This is like what, the third time? Or maybe there's a few that I didn't remember?

Is her teacher, Carola Arna, really a friend, or was she one of the perpetrators of these experiments? Her involvement in the fall of the old capital remains uncertain, but she definitely doesn't smell clean to me, considering her high rank in the research team.

I'm speculating that she was one of the researchers who "grew a conscience" and let the siblings escape, but I guess we won't know until much later. The new chapter moves the siblings to Roscaelifer, which seems to be heavily inspired by the flying cities I've seen in Bioshock Infinite.

Lots of new characters being introduced as once and I have no idea how am I going to be able to roll for all of them

This girl here particularly is quite nice, I wonder what is going to be the schedule. All we know is that Ramiel is next, but...

This is the home ground of Lady Sunbringer, one of the void hunters of the old era; apparently, she is over 100 years old, just like Ramiel. We don't know her current status or appearance, but Norma slipped some info at the end of this patch that seems to imply she's not doing well right now.

This, combined with the fact that Ramiel is wanted for the attempted assassination of Lady Sunbringer, makes things in the new zone complicated right from the start for Belle. The final trailer shows lots of new characters, mostly girls who are going to appear in the 3.x patches. I'm looking forward to it, but I wonder if I'll have the funds, considering they all look so damn good.
