Episode 7 of Champignon no Majo continues from where we left off, with Lizel trying to escape from Luna's house after overhearing what she and Claude were discussing. I expected his escape attempt to last longer, but he realizes almost immediately that he doesn't really have anywhere else to go.

It is also revealed that every time Luna extracts Blight from his body, it also removes his memories and stunts his growth. This explains why he doesn't remember anything from the day he ran away. This is an interesting development because it places a limit on the use of Luna's power. If she continues to remove the Blight, he will be stuck forever in a state of limbo as a child.

Still think she looks the best with the hair untied compared to her usual looks.

The reaction faces of Luna are one of the highlight of the series for me.

This also raises a question: if he loses growth by losing Blight, does it mean he is actually made of Blight? If that is true, is there even a way to control the curse in the first place? The series has not explored that yet, but I feel it could be the key to understanding his origins.

The episode closes with an extremely cute scene showing Lizel asking Luna if he can hold her hand while sleeping, using a sock as protection against her poison. I feel this was an important moment for both of them, as I am sure they both long for a human connection due to their particular circumstances.

This was an extremely cute scene, Luna agreeing to keep Lizel's hand was quite surprising considering how much she was against touching anyone. A small change, but an important one. View video page

At this point, the relationship between them is one of guardian and child. However, I wonder if this will shift if Lizel starts recovering his memories from when he was an older prince. Could he become a possible love interest for Luna? She is surely still a bit hurt from what happened in the first few episodes, but still...

The title of the next episode is "The White Witch and the Black Witch," so it seems it is time to see some of the White Witches in action. They have been depicted so far as extremely selfish and dangerous individuals ready to do anything to preserve their hold on power.

Luna sneakily listening to his discussion with the mushroom was hilarious. Poor girl, she can't cook apparently.

She tries to put a stern face, but I still can't take her seriously I'll be honest.

Will this particular White Witch be an exception to the rule? I wouldn't necessarily forgive them after what happened to the Cat Witch a few episodes ago, but it would be interesting to see if there are factions within their group with different viewpoints.
