Champignon no Majo Ep.11 - Bird Magician seems quite important...

Episode 11 of Champignon no Majo approaches the end of the adaptation, which is slated for 12 episodes, by putting Lizel through his first test from the council. The Wind Magician was the agent sent by the council to check on Lizel's progress, and he almost immediately deemed him unworthy.

Admittedly, witnessing Luna being clearly in love with Henri caused Lizel to accumulate many negative emotions, which worsened his condition. He also realized that every time Luna removed his curse, he essentially lost a piece of himself, which is keeping him stuck in his child form forever.

Is it me or most of the mages (like this Bird Magician) are all on the beautiful side? Is it a requirement to become one I wonder?

I'm making a collection of all the different reaction faces of Luna. They're all adorable and you can use them in various circumstances.

Thanks to the intervention of the Bird Magician, the execution has been delayed until the next episode. However, I am not exactly sure how Lizel is going to escape this cycle, as he has not yet perfected a way to handle the curse without Luna having to extract it every time. He attempted to do so by conjuring a poisonous flower, but it was not enough.

Additionally, the White Witch who is Henri's superior took notice of the situation and will surely start chasing them. He seems to recognize Lizel as the prince of the country, but he appeared genuinely surprised, suggesting he was not high-ranking enough to know the details of the incident inside the castle that nearly killed Lizel.

I am quite interested in learning more about the connection between Henri and the Bird Magician, as they seem to be acquaintances to the point that Henri uses the mage's base as a sanctuary. I wonder if this connection is related to the fact that Luna was involved with him long ago.

The story also returned to the concept that Black Witches cannot fall in love while White Witches draw power from love. This creates a sharp contrast because it means Lizel and Luna are on completely opposite sides. I know the series will eventually pair them together, but they have to go through several trials before that can happen.

If you had to imagine the face of disappointment, this is it. Luna delivered.

The next episode will conclude the season and set up the continuation of the story for anyone interested in reading the manga. Honestly, while I enjoyed Luna as a character, the narrative was not what I expected when I started and ended up feeling stale most of the time. I will not be pursuing the manga unless they perform a miracle in the final episode.
