Hyakkano Season 3 Ep.10 - Eating ramen is serious business! Hahari strikes again!
Episode 10 of Hyakkano completes Torotoro Kishika's introduction to the various girls, but then goes on a tangent showing an unrelated character and her struggle to break the will of those unfortunate enough to visit her ramen shop, using an escalation of ridiculous types of ramen.
I'll be honest: I was intrigued and wanted to know her name or if she was going to become a recurring character, but apparently she's just credited as "Challenge Ramen Shop Owner," so I guess she was a one-off used only to deliver this skit. It's a shame, though; she carried the comedy with her despair.

Every time a new girl passed through the door of her ramen shop, you could sort of predict what kind of weird situation would unfold. Like Meido entering and being unfazed by ramen that would make anyone else's eyes water. It's kind of nice, and it allows all the girls to get their share of screen time in different pairings.
This is one thing that I feel is most important with a cast this big. There are existing pairings already present, like Karane and Hakari, but there's untapped potential in having girls with very different personalities interact with each other like they did in this scene.
Rentarou was mostly missing from this episode, but I don't see it as a problem because the girls are colorful enough to stand on their own. I'll be honest, I'd totally dig seeing more slice-of-life content focusing on the heroines outside of their love for Rentarou: maybe a spin-off of some sort after the series is done?
We're only two episodes away from the end of this third season of Hyakkano, and I'm curious: are we getting another heroine before the end of the season, or will they just have a few more episodes of unadulterated fun with the existing heroines?
