Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka Ep.04 - Kuriru, what is your room state? Come on!
Episode 4 of Kirei ni Shite Moraemasuka / Wash It All Away (綺麗にしてもらえますか) introduces a new character to the cast: the high school girl Kuriru Wakasagi. Honestly, I was surprised when I saw her appear on screen. She is a really attractive character and could easily become a match for Kinme judging from looks alone.
Just as Kinme was traveling back, she met Kuriru by chance on the train and started giving her usual advice about how to care for clothes. Kuriru points out that she lives alone with her brother and they don't really have anyone to help them understand these things, so Kinme immediately jumped at the opportunity and went to their apartment with her.
I don't think they mentioned why they live alone, but I am guessing there is some family reason behind it. It turns out she is the older sister of Kyuushou's friend, Moruda Wakasagi, so they ended up connecting the dots since Kinme knows Kyuushou. It really emphasizes how "small" the world around Kinme feels.
The second part of the episode focuses on Neiro convincing (see video for the scene) Kinme to come to the rehearsal she is holding for the upcoming festival. Apparently, she is going to be playing the drums with other people, and she wants Kinme to see her. Neiro is always like a shining beam of light in the series, looking so cute in every gesture.
At the festival rehearsal, there is a problem. It turns out the outfits they were expecting to wear are all dirty. Kinme tries to take the burden of fixing them entirely upon herself, but Kyuushou intervenes (quite coolly), saying that "it's our problem, we should all help Kinme." This makes sense considering it is their event.
The story seems to keep wanting to move toward Kyuushou becoming more of a romantic interest for Kinme (even Kuriru pointed it out in this episode), even though Kinme doesn't seem to be interested at all. Plus, they don't feel like a great match right now. When I see the two together, they appear "off" to me.
Judging from the information we have so far, next week's episode will focus on the effort to clean the outfits and then on the festival itself, where Kinme will almost certainly take part as a visitor. We got no progress on the memory loss angle of the story this week, so maybe they are leaving it for the second part of this mini-arc.
