Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka Ep.05 - Wait, abandoned until now? Kiss!

February 2, 2026 · 4:54 PM

Episode 5 of Kirei ni Shite Moraemasuka / Wash It All Away (綺麗にしてもらえますか) continues from the previous episode, with Kinme, Kuriru, Moruda, and Kyuushou working together to solve the issue of the festival clothes being covered in mold in time for the event to take place smoothly.

They all work together to achieve their goal, and Kinme is so excited that she couldn't stop, eventually falling asleep in the room while working. This makes for a very cute scene of embarrassment when the other three find her sleeping on the floor. An embarrassed Kinme is extremely cute, so everything is forgiven!

This series makes me conflicted, are they trying to bait us with hot girls or with relaxing content? Or both?!

This is an interesting point, where was Kinme before coming back to this place?

Among the various scenes, there was an important line that could provide an interesting piece of information regarding the mystery surrounding Kinme's past before her memory loss. In one scene (you can see the attached screenshot), Kuriru points out to Kyuushou, "Wasn't this place abandoned for years?" referring to Kinme's house and shop.

This means that Kinme was not here when the memory loss occurred, which begs the question: how did she return here? Was she told by someone that she was the owner of that shop? Where was she found, and how long did she spend alone without her memories? Is there anyone in the town who knew her before the memory loss? Honestly this mystery is the part that makes invested in this series.

Now, I don't want to say anything rash, but Kinme do you realize that putting a mask while you're going up a stair is an extremely stupid and unsafe thing to do? Like, you're an adult... View video page

The rest of the episode flowed smoothly with the usual festival scenes and some interaction between Kinme and Kyuushou. To be honest, I rolled my eyes when Kinme fell down the stairs and landed in a way that she kissed Kyuushou, although she was wearing a mask, so it didn't really count. It was the most cliché thing they could have possibly done.

Again, as I said last week, it seems the series really wants to push them as a possible couple in the future, even though I honestly don't think they make a great match. Of course, developments aren't exactly fast, so the anime adaptation may finish before any real progress is made.

Kinme's swimsuit is outstanding, she's seriously gorgeous. The eye-catches continue to be amazing.

Neiro was too active during the festival and now she's all tired. Poor girl.

Now that the mini story arc is finished, I guess we will be back to Kinme's normal day-to-day life starting next week. I am curious if the "near-miss kiss" will change anything in the way she interacts with Kyuushou. Hopefully, this won't turn into a full-blown romantic comedy, though.
