Kirio Fanclub Ep.03 - Now I just can't unsee it. Nami, what are you doing?!
Episode 3 of Kirio Fanclub continues with another episode revolving around the various delusions the two girls have when it comes to Kirio. This time around, they actually managed to talk to him, well, mostly Nami was the one talking, but it is progress, and they even managed to get his phone number.
It was an extremely fun episode as usual, but my mind couldn't stop focusing on the details surrounding the two girls after the events of last week's episode. Yes, I'm talking about the yuri allegations; Nami's reactions become a lot easier to explain when you frame them through the lens of "she's in love with Aimi."

Her tears while watching Aimi talk so much about Kirio, her being unfazed despite talking to Kirio, and many other details all seem to point to that. Even Aimi has a few questionable moments, but she is far less expressive than Nami when it comes to showing these emotions.
Kirio becomes even more of a side character than he already was, and the two girls' relationship takes center stage. It’s almost comical how oblivious he is, just sitting there doodling "Dragon" on his desk like a typical kid while Nami and Aimi have these intense moments right under his nose.
He doesn't even need to do anything because the narrative isn't actually about him; he’s practically just a prop the show uses to explore the complex, blurry line between friendship and romance for the two female leads. It’s great how the series manages to balance these feelings with some of the most unhinged comedy of the season.
One minute you're sitting there analyzing the weight of Nami's hidden feelings, and the next you're watching them play ridiculous games like "Kirio Shiritori" and imagining the most absurd situations involving him. They are literally willing to mess with black magic and curses just to get a step ahead.

The black magic connects to the new character introduced this week named Manda Mitsuru. He's just a minor supporting character (like Momose Hayato, who usually hangs out with Kirio), but the few comedy scenes involving him are pretty fun. He's the classic otaku-like character in both appearance and behavior.
I'm totally invested now and I can't wait to see what happens next week. I'm really curious if the series will actually pull the trigger and confront Nami's true feelings directly, or if they'll just keep hiding behind their shared obsession.
