Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu Ep.01 - Spica, what a bad place to kiss...
Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu is an anime series airing this season, adapted from the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Kaneda Yousuke. The manga currently has 14 volumes and is still ongoing (started in 2022). I was genuinely on the fence with this one because, from an outside perspective, it felt like a heavily female-targeted title.
That impression was shattered in the very first scene. The opening sequence shows the protagonist, Spica Virgo, trying to fly with magic and failing badly. The camera had a particular interest in her legs, and the inevitable "fall to the ground" was visualized from below in a way that was honestly hilarious to watch.

It then continued with clear, strong yuri undertones between Spica and her friend, Aria Aquarius. It seems like Aria is interested in Spica and, to my eyes, is hardly doing a good job of hiding it. Thankfully for her, Spica is pretty dense and unaware of her feelings.
This was already enough to make me think, "Oh, this actually works," but then we get the real premise. The connection she has with her savior, Sirius Claude (now a cat), is that he needs her help to turn back into a human. As the mysterious magical creature said, "You'll need a kiss to go back to being human."
Romantic, right? It is a shame it's not a kiss on the mouth, cheek, or even hand. She needs to kiss him in his cat-form butthole. During that scene, I had to stop because I was wheezing too hard. I've seen a lot of weird stuff in the past, but this goes way above and beyond. Plus, considering it's a temporary transformation, she'll need to do it again and again every time his power is needed. Is this some sort of poorly hidden fetish from the writer?
In the next episode, Spica's training will begin so that she can enroll in the school and become a powerful mage. Her motivation is strong, but things are not going to go smoothly, considering her track record with magic. It also seems we will see some of the other characters from the school being introduced.

*Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu* has my attention; I am definitely going to watch this weekly and cover it here. I'm curious about the other characters that will be introduced. I've had a quick look at their designs, and some of them seem to emanate a very quirky personality, like Aries Ewe (the blonde character).
